I'll be entering Yale Law School this fall as a Truman Scholar and Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow. As a first-gen applicant, I've spent years learning this process, inside and out: what makes for a winning personal statement, the way an addendum or supplemental essay can reframe an entire application, and what it actually takes to build a narrative that feels true to you—while speaking the language that admissions committees respond to. A lot of law school coaches went through the admissions process years, if not decades, ago. As a YLS Launchpad Scholar from 2024 to 2026, I received cutting-edge, comprehensive advice from admissions officers at T14s around the country. Ultimately, in the 2026 application cycle (which is widely regarded as the most competitive in history), I gained admission to Yale, Stanford, Chicago, UVA, Penn, Berkeley, and Duke. I worked closely with a law school admissions coach during my own application process, which gave me a deep understanding of admissions strategy, timing, and what law schools are truly looking for in successful applicants. I applied to nine law schools and was accepted to all of them. Through that process, I learned how to craft compelling personal statements, build cohesive application narratives, and strategically position experiences and goals to stand out. I earned my JD from Howard University School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of my class while serving on law review. After law school, I joined Paul, Weiss and later Kirkland & Ellis, advising leading private-equity sponsors on multi-billion-dollar M&A transactions, carve-outs, and complex fund formations. This combination of elite legal training and high-stakes deal work gives me a deep understanding of what top law schools and firms look for in applicants and future attorneys. I grew up in South Tucson, Arizona, and I’m now a JD/PhD candidate at Yale Law School and the University of Oxford. For over ten years, I’ve helped students from first-gen, low-income, and immigrant backgrounds gain admission to top law schools and receive the most prestigious scholarships by turning their life stories into clear, compelling application narratives. As a Truman Scholar, Marshall Scholar, and Skadden Fellow, I’ve been through the fellowship and admissions process at the highest levels. I know how intimidating this process can feel, especially if you don’t come from backgrounds where there are few people to turn to for guidance. I bring a unique perspective to law school admissions having served as the Director of Admissions at Stanford Graduate School of Education, where I reviewed joint degree applications including JD/MA programs. During my tenure at Stanford, I evaluated thousands of graduate applications annually and gained deep insight into how elite institutions assess candidates pursuing legal education combined with other disciplines.

Welcome! I am earning an MBA from The Wharton School and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and earned acceptances to many top law and business programs. Coupled with my experience coaching candidates for consulting recruiting (I worked at McKinsey & Company before graduate school), and I am able to provide insight to aspiring MBA students on the admissions process.
