With 20+ years of professional experience across law, education, and leadership, I bring both firsthand experience and strategic insight to every stage of the law school journey. I earned my Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School and AB from Harvard University, scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT, and was admitted to Harvard and Stanford Law before choosing Columbia—where I secured my Big Law offer as a 1L in Jones Day’s Paris office. As the founder of Nurimas Coaching, I’ve dedicated over 350 hours to supporting aspiring law students—first-gen, nontraditional, and transfer applicants alike—through LSAT preparation, application strategy, and career alignment. My specialty lies in helping candidates craft authentic, imaginative personal statements that reveal how they think and what drives them. Welcome to my profile! I am currently a third year student at Harvard Law School, where I have interned for a variety of civil rights legal nonprofits and worked extensively with clients facing criminal charges. I was admitted to Harvard through the Junior Deferral Program in 2018, ultimately deferring my admission for four years to work as a paralegal and policy associate in Atlanta, GA. I have extensive experience writing and editing. I've written professionally, publishing in outlets including New York Magazine, MSNBC, and Teen Vogue. During my first year in law school, I won the award for Best Brief in my Legal Research and Writing class, and next year, I will be clerking for a federal district court judge -- a prestigious position in the federal courts. Finally, I am the co-editor of a book about an activist movement in Atlanta, through which I edited over thirty contributors' essays. All this to say -- I love editing other people's work and drawing out their passions! I'm especially passionate about working with students and applicants, and especially love editing personal statements and other application materials. I'm a recent Yale Law School graduate with extensive writing and editing experience. I've written briefs in federal appeals, served as an editor for the Yale Law Journal, and authored scholarship that is forthcoming in the Yale Law Journal and the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Before that, I studied political science at Williams College, where I graduated summa cum laude as one of the top four students in my class. I applied to law school straight through from college, and I was admitted to Yale, Stanford, and Harvard. I'm now completing a one-year fellowship in appellate defense before I begin two federal clerkships. Given my background, I'm particularly interested in helping those interested in public-interest law.
