I was awarded a Dean’s Award Scholarship at NYU School of Law, an outcome that reflects both my academic record and a carefully crafted, intentional law school application. Going through the admissions process myself gave me an insider’s understanding of how top law schools evaluate candidates—not just on numbers, but on clarity of purpose, narrative strength, and authenticity. I know firsthand how much strategy goes into standing out in an exceptionally competitive pool, from framing experiences effectively to communicating goals in a way that feels genuine and persuasive. I bring that experience into my coaching, helping applicants develop strong written materials and a confident application strategy tailored to their individual backgrounds. My approach is thoughtful, detail-driven, and highly collaborative, with the goal of helping each student put forward an application they truly feel proud of.

As a current JD/MBA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton and Penn Law), I’ve seen firsthand how an authentic and strategic approach can help candidates stand out. I’m a first-year law student who has recently navigated the law school admissions process and successfully helped friends do the same. Through targeted strategies and mindset shifts, I was able to raise my LSAT score to a near-perfect range, and I now help others do the same. I was admitted to NYU (matriculated), Columbia, Georgetown, and GW, and was waitlisted at Yale. I was also accepted to the University of Law in London and BPP (and can share why I opted for the US over UK system). I was admitted to several top law schools with full-ride scholarships, and participated in several prestigious pre-law fellowships. I am uniquely equipped to support students with a goal of attending law school directly from undergrad (KJD), because I did so myself! After graduating from Cal Lutheran in just 3 years, I was an SEO Law Fellow before starting at Georgetown, where I am now working with our Corporate and Financial Law Organization, our Entertainment Law Society, and our International Economic Law Society. In addition, I am a student ambassador for our admissions office, and a panelist for our early outreach program.

GPA and LSAT are king - nothing else matters. This is the traditional "Reddit" wisdom that haunts every budding law school applicant. But that doesn't have to be true. You don't have to be a Rhodes or Truman Scholar, D1 athlete, or PhD. You can write your way in. I sure did. And a year later, my writing skills earned me a spot on the North Carolina Law Review, the flagship academic legal journal of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. I beat the odds time and time again. Ever since, I've been able to help other law school applicants with borderline stats (within reason) gain acceptance into their dream law schools. Some of my clients have been admitted to schools like Columbia, UVA, Harvard (including off the waitlist), NYU, Michigan, Georgetown, Duke, and UNC-Chapel Hill. I am no stranger to admissions advising. I have been a college admissions consultant for over eight years and I have been a Senior Admissions Consultant for U.S. News CollegeAdvisor since 2021. In that world, I have also helped borderline students secure admission to Ivy League schools, T-20 schools, and Public Ivies. I have seamlessly translated what I know about undergraduate admissions to the law school admissions. You don't always have to give up on your dream law school. Even with your stats, there can be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Welcome to my profile! As a current JD candidate at Harvard Law School, I bring firsthand experience and insights into the law school admissions process. When applying to law school, I questioned whether I could be a competitive applicant at T14 schools, as I earned my undergraduate degree from a public university that does not send many students to top-tier law schools. However, I believed I would bring a unique voice to some of these schools and spent months crafting my essays and other application components. I received numerous offers at T14 schools and was honored to join Harvard Law School's Class of 2026. I have helped many potential students with their applications and am a Harvard Law School Admissions Ambassador, acting as a liaison with potential and admitted students. During my time at UCLA School of Law, I have earned several honors, including the UCLA Law Faculty Scholarship, the Adam Z. Rice Memorial Scholarship, the Erika J. Glazer Scholarship, the Greenberg Glusker Book Scholarship, the Kingdom Day Parade Scholarship, and the Langston Bar Association Scholarship (awarded twice). I was also selected for the 2024 Foundation for Advocacy, Inclusion & Resources (FAIR) Employee Justice Summer Clerkship and the 2024 Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles Scholarship. My activities reflect my leadership and dedication to the legal community. I have served as a Student Liaison for the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Barristers/Young Attorneys, and held various leadership roles in the Black Law Students Association, including 1L Representative and Co-Chair. I have also been involved in the Critical Race Studies Specialization as an Erika Glazer Scholar, worked with the Labor and Economic Justice Clinic, and served as the Langston Bar Association’s Student Liaison and Law Student Outreach Committee Chair. As a member of the National Black Law Journal, I have contributed as both Outreach Editor and Chief Managing Editor. Additionally, I served as the 1L President of the Student Bar Association (SBA) and later as SBA Diversity Officer. My involvement extends to mentoring in the UCLA Law Fellows Program, serving as a Staff Member and Chief Diversity Editor on the UCLA Law Review, and working as a Tour Guide and Student Ambassador for the law school. I also participated in the Workers’ Rights Clinic and the UCLA Trial Team, where we were regional champions in the BLSA Constance Baker Motley Trial Competition. Furthermore, I have been active in the Entertainment Law Association as Events Chair and the Fashion and Beauty Law Association as Secretary of Communications.
