I was admitted to Stanford Law School during one of their most competitive admissions cycles (2021). I can speak to law school admissions, as well as the unique challenges of being a JD-PhD applicant. I've coached dozens of students successfully through law school admissions, and I can coach you too!

During my time at UCLA School of Law, I have earned several honors, including the UCLA Law Faculty Scholarship, the Adam Z. Rice Memorial Scholarship, the Erika J. Glazer Scholarship, the Greenberg Glusker Book Scholarship, the Kingdom Day Parade Scholarship, and the Langston Bar Association Scholarship (awarded twice). I was also selected for the 2024 Foundation for Advocacy, Inclusion & Resources (FAIR) Employee Justice Summer Clerkship and the 2024 Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles Scholarship. My activities reflect my leadership and dedication to the legal community. I have served as a Student Liaison for the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Barristers/Young Attorneys, and held various leadership roles in the Black Law Students Association, including 1L Representative and Co-Chair. I have also been involved in the Critical Race Studies Specialization as an Erika Glazer Scholar, worked with the Labor and Economic Justice Clinic, and served as the Langston Bar Association’s Student Liaison and Law Student Outreach Committee Chair. As a member of the National Black Law Journal, I have contributed as both Outreach Editor and Chief Managing Editor. Additionally, I served as the 1L President of the Student Bar Association (SBA) and later as SBA Diversity Officer. My involvement extends to mentoring in the UCLA Law Fellows Program, serving as a Staff Member and Chief Diversity Editor on the UCLA Law Review, and working as a Tour Guide and Student Ambassador for the law school. I also participated in the Workers’ Rights Clinic and the UCLA Trial Team, where we were regional champions in the BLSA Constance Baker Motley Trial Competition. Furthermore, I have been active in the Entertainment Law Association as Events Chair and the Fashion and Beauty Law Association as Secretary of Communications.

As an incoming JD/MPP Harvard Law School and Harvard Kennedy School student with an international background, I know how opaque and stressful the law/graduate school admissions process can feel, especially if you’re aiming high and/or coming from a non-traditional background. Why Me? I’ve been through it myself – from applying to an unconventional undergraduate dual degree program, to landing a politics adjacent role in Manhattan, to applying to law and public policy schools as a first-generation applicant and landing merit scholarships worth >$350K. I applied to 10 law schools and several Public Policy programs, gaining admission to Harvard Law and Harvard Kennedy separately before deciding to pursue both. Brian was personally admitted to multiple Ivy League law schools before choosing to pursue a JD at UC Berkeley. He also holds a master of social science from UCLA. His research interests include Bitcoin, green finance, and civil liberties.

I know what it feels like to dream big--I didn't know anyone who had attended an Ivy League school when I started thinking about law school. If you're excited by the idea of getting into a reach school but don't know where to start, I'd love to help you along the way! I'm now three years into practice as an attorney (law clerk --> public defender) and would love to share my passion for law school and lawyering with you.

I was admitted to Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, and Stanford Law School, among others. I also received full-tuition scholarship offers from the University of Chicago Law School and Columbia Law School. I have demonstrated experience with crafting law school application materials and with LSAT preparation (I scored in the 99th percentile, and I have helped others do the same). Currently, I'm studying politics at the University of Oxford, where I am a Barry Scholar. The Barry Scholarship is awarded to around a dozen students in the United States each year, and it fully funds the pursuit of any graduate program at Oxford. I was admitted to three programs at Oxford, each of which was competitive. I'm experienced with writing, editing, and interview preparation. I specialize in applications to law schools, master's programs, and prestigious scholarships.

I bring a unique perspective to law school admissions having served as the Director of Admissions at Stanford Graduate School of Education, where I reviewed joint degree applications including JD/MA programs. During my tenure at Stanford, I evaluated thousands of graduate applications annually and gained deep insight into how elite institutions assess candidates pursuing legal education combined with other disciplines.
