I am a rising 3L at Stanford Law School. I love working with students to craft a cohesive, powerful narrative that reflects their accomplishments so they can gain admission to their dream law school or university. I take a holistic approach, taking time to understand my clients' background, personality, and goals. I do not let median GPAs or test scores or admission rates dictate my clients' application strategy or success. I can also guide students on how to discuss their race and ethnicity in our post-affirmative action reality. By closely studying the U.S. Supreme Court decisions Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v Harvard and Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v UNC overturning affirmative action, I've been able to help my clients discuss their race and ethnicity in ways that law school admissions offices can legally consider when reviewing their application. Throughout law school, I have completed 5 internships in the public, private, and non-profit sector including a Big Law internship, two state attorney general internships, a local government internship, and an internship at a leading international non-profit environmental advocacy organization. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Environmental Economics and Policy and a B.A. in Urban Studies. In undergrad, I worked as a research assistant and independent researcher while also serving as president of the Berkeley Urban Studies Student Association. I have coached undergrads through their law school application process and high school students through their college admissions process. I have helped undergrad and high school students get admitted to programs where they had well below-median GPAs and/or standardized test scores.

As a former Associate Director of Admissions at Stanford Law School, I have read thousands of applications front to back, and have a deep understanding of what top law schools are looking for. It is more than just trying to 'stand out' from the crowd. You will need to craft a highly compelling story so that you convince the admissions committee that you have amazing potential as a law student, AND you will make a valuable contribution. I have many years of experience helping prospective law students gain admission to their dream schools - even those with less than optimal GPAs and LSAT scores. I am a strong believer that an applicant is more than the numbers - but the essay is the make-it or break-it factor. I will be your thought partner and supportive advisor from start to finish. I have expertise developing individualized time lines, school lists, letters of recommendation, resumes, essays (required and optional), character and fitness paragraphs, managing waitlists and even negotiating financial aid awards. Having worked as a legal assistant, a resident assistant, and as president of a law school organization, I believe in the value of public service, and in sharing my knowledge with you. As a two-time member of the Georgetown Law Admissions Committee with 10 years of experience as an admissions consultant, I know what law schools are looking for and how to help students present themselves positively and persuasively to the admissions committee. I am an expert educator and editor with experience teaching college students and professionals in one-on-one and group settings with specific emphasis in writing and prelaw skills. My experience as an attorney at the #1 intellectual property litigation group in the country, as well as in the federal government and small to medium-sized firms, has provided me with insider knowledge about the skills and qualities legal employers are seeking. My former students have graduated from some of the top law schools, including Columbia, Georgetown, and George Washington, and have continued on to federal clerkships, law firms, public interest, and government roles. I have advised hundreds and hundreds of law school applicants over an almost twenty year period. I am an expert in law school admissions and have also published a book and a nationwide column about it. Many applicants that I have advised have been admitted to their top choice of law schools. Some of my former students have also received up to full scholarships to law school. I am also an expert on the subject of legal careers, as well as alternative legal careers. In addition I have taught several courses for students planning to apply to law school. I am a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.

Daniel Khalessi served as President of the Stanford Law Review and is a startup and venture capital lawyer at Sidley Austin LLP in San Francisco. He is passionate about helping others turn their personal experiences into powerful stories and achieve their dreams. Having lost his Dad at a young age, Daniel understands what it is like to overcome challenges. A product of Bay Area public schools, Daniel earned a B.A. from Stanford, M.A. in Global Affairs from Yale, M.A. in Economics (China Studies) from Peking University, and his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he served as a Teaching Assistant in constitutional law and earned prizes for outstanding performance. He previously worked as a startup lawyer at Latham & Watkins LLP and as a China analyst at Harvard's Belfer Center.

Bill De La Rosa serves as Co-Chair of Humanity in Action’s American Planning Board and is a legal intern for the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild. Before his legal and doctoral studies at Yale Law School and the University of Oxford, he worked for the Pima County Administrator’s Office, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Center for Law and Social Policy, the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project, and a member of the U.S. Congress. Raised in South Tucson, Arizona, Bill holds a B.A. Phi Beta Kappa in Latin American Studies and Sociology with Honors from Bowdoin College, where he became a Truman Scholar, John Lewis Fellow, and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s Hispanic Scholar of the Year. Bill also has an M.Sc. in Migration Studies with Merit and an M.Sc. in Criminology and Criminal Justice with Distinction from the University of Oxford, where he was a Marshall Scholar and Clarendon Scholar. At Yale, he has been named a Hurst Horizon Scholar, an International Strategy Forum Fellow, and a Katzmann Fellow.
