I'll be entering Yale Law School this fall as a Truman Scholar and Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow. As a first-gen applicant, I've spent years learning this process, inside and out: what makes for a winning personal statement, the way an addendum or supplemental essay can reframe an entire application, and what it actually takes to build a narrative that feels true to you—while speaking the language that admissions committees respond to. A lot of law school coaches went through the admissions process years, if not decades, ago. As a YLS Launchpad Scholar from 2024 to 2026, I received cutting-edge, comprehensive advice from admissions officers at T14s around the country. Ultimately, in the 2026 application cycle (which is widely regarded as the most competitive in history), I gained admission to Yale, Stanford, Chicago, UVA, Penn, Berkeley, and Duke. I'm a Stanford Law School grad working in business operations at an edtech startup. I applied to law school while I was an undergrad studying electrical engineering and was fortunate enough to be admitted to a number of top law schools, including Stanford, Yale, Harvard, and Chicago (where I was offered the Rubenstein scholarship).
