I didn't take a straight path to law school, and that's exactly why I can help you figure out yours. I seriously considered applying straight out of undergrad, then chose to build my career first at Goldman Sachs, and then still decided I wanted to deepen that experience by diving into renewable energy industry in Nairobi, Kenya before I finally felt ready to commit to a JD. I've thought through every version of this decision, at every stage, and I know how much the timing, framing, and self-knowledge behind your application actually matters. Along the way, I've coached my fellow Goldman Sachs analysts through our informal Law School Admissions Preparation program and guided friends, colleagues, and fellow alumni through the graduate school process. While recruiting for Big Law this year, I earned one of the strongest interview scores in my law firm's recruitment cycle and secured a leadership fellowship worth $50,000. My approach starts with understanding your goals and background, so that whether you need career strategy, application advice, or interview prep, we're building on what's already strong about your story.

My name is Trey Rogers and I'm excited to work with you on your law school application process. I graduated from Harvard University in 2020 with no intention to apply to law school, so after I decided three years ago that law school was going to be the next step for me, I had a lot of learning to do about the process. Because I arrived at my law school aspirations a little later, I had the time to dedicate almost two years to mastering the LSAT and scored a 175 in June, 2024. I have coached several students to success on the LSAT; many achieved an improvement of 10+ points. I also help students write their personal statement, identify potential recommenders, and assemble a coherent application. I'm looking forward to working with you and getting you into law school!

When I first thought of going to law school, I thought it was a terrible idea. Student loans, bad job outcomes, and attorneys’ frequent malaise. But then I did the research. I learned how to crack the code of law school admissions, and understood how to achieve a legal career without breaking the bank. I'll never forget the day I set foot on Harvard Law School's campus. I hadn't gone to a brand-name undergrad. It seemed like everyone else at the admitted students day knew each other; I didn't know anyone. But it didn't matter. You don’t need connections to get into law school; you need strategy. I am a federal clerk and a graduate magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. I also hold a BA from Bard College, and am a PhD student in the Harvard sociology department. I know first-hand how stressful the JD application process is, and how to successfully navigate it. I know what admissions committees look for. And I know how to present your credentials—and build them—the way successful applicants do. As a coach, my approach is bottom-up. If you’re at the beginning of your application process, let's start by assessing your goals, generating a list of programs from there, and then thinking strategically about how to maximize your chances of admission at each program you apply to. I am currently attending Stanford Law School, after having received admission to several other T14 law schools and some very generous scholarships. I deferred law school for a year to obtain a Masters at Oxford University on a full scholarship from Columbia University. I have extensive experience in editing application essays and resumes for mentees and friends, and several of these people have gone on to win prestigious fellowships or gain admission at T5 law schools such as Columbia Law School. I am committed and detail-oriented – key components in crafting compelling law school applications. Welcome to my profile! As a current law student, I'm no stranger to the ups and downs of the admissions process, and I'm here to help you navigate it! I was admitted to several top law schools with full-ride scholarships, and participated in several prestigious pre-law fellowships. I am uniquely equipped to support students with a goal of attending law school directly from undergrad (KJD), because I did so myself! After graduating from Cal Lutheran in just 3 years, I was an SEO Law Fellow before starting at Georgetown, where I am now working with our Corporate and Financial Law Organization, our Entertainment Law Society, and our International Economic Law Society. In addition, I am a student ambassador for our admissions office, and a panelist for our early outreach program.

I earned my bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and both a Master of Science degree and MBA admission through the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I will be attending Duke University School of Law and have successfully navigated the law school admissions process as a splitter applicant.
