During my 3rd and 4th years of college, COVID-19 years, I engaged in countless hours of shadowing, service, and studying for the DAT. Additionally, my wife and I were lucky to have a child born two months before finals in the second to last semester of our undergraduate studies. With my wife’s support, I was able to surpass my goal on the DAT and we both graduated from BYU-Provo within 4 years of starting. I applied to 12 dental schools, interviewed at six, and was accepted and offered a position at all six schools beginning in the fall of 2022. I am currently a first-year dental student attending the University of Utah School of Dentistry. I have founded a Public Health Club and am a member of the Pediatrics and Business clubs among participating in a handful of others. Additionally, I am currently working on becoming an AHEC Scholar and am working to figure out a schedule to graduate with a dual degree MPH/DDS with the Dean of my school.

Seasoned pre-dental coach and mentor. After mentoring and guiding many pre-dental students throughout my dental school years, I've created a handful of PDFs and documents that I can provide you with in addition to my live attention. My first experience with the application process was my own, where I was successfully accepted to my top 3 programs that I wanted to attend. Since then, I've spent my time, both in-person and on Instagram, answering the questions of pre-dental students and providing them with the tools they need to become a high-quality applicant - the student that admissions committees are looking for!

Entering dental school at the age of 29 - after already going through medical school, two Master's programs, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering - I am driven to help guide those who are striving for a career in dentistry at any level. For those curious about my application cycle: I applied to 11 schools, received interview invites to 10 schools, interviewed at 8 programs, and was accepted to 6 programs--including Harvard (where I now attend), UCLA (as an out-of-state applicant) with a Dean's scholarship, and UT Health Houston (as an out-of-state applicant) with their "Glenn T. Housholder Competetive Scholarship", which meant I would receive in-state tuition in addition to the scholarship money they were offering me.

I have a lot of personal experience with dental school admissions and am very qualified to help pre-dental applicants with every step of the process. I received a top score on the DAT in 2024, and can provide students with advice and study strategies for the exam. For interviews, I can offer live practice sessions, a list of questions to prepare, and assistance with formulating responses. Additionally, I will provide templates for letters of intent/interest on request as well as editing services for letters, personal statements, and supplemental application responses. I am also happy to answer any questions about my experience and provide counseling on dental shadowing hours, volunteering, and other application requirements.

As a current dental student at The Ohio State University, I have been through the rigorous path of dental school applications. Applying during the mess of COVID I received interviews and acceptances from all of the schools I had applied at ultimately putting me at The Ohio State University. I have worked in the mentorship space since college. I still advise students on how to get into their top undergraduate programs - specifically those that are international students. The application process for international students is much more difficult in both undergrad and professional school. To make matters worse, there is not much information available to students to navigate this complicated journey. This is where I come in. I can speak from personal experience and aid students - international or not - on how to navigate a difficult admissions process to get into the school you want to get into.
