Hi, I’m Dr. Alex Piedra — a practicing pediatric dentist, entrepreneur, and dental school admissions coach. I am an undergrad graduate from BYU. I also graduated from the highly sought after University of Utah School of Dentistry and now teach Foundations of Dentistry at Baylor University, where I mentor pre-dental students and guide them toward their goals with clarity and confidence. Beyond academics, I own and operate four successful pediatric dental practices, giving me firsthand insight into both the clinical and business sides of dentistry. Recieved interview invitations to the majority of school I applied to and was accepted into most of those. Assisted in interview days for prospective Utah dental students. Currently serving in leadership positions that have provided me access to admissions committee members that have explained what they look for in potential candidates. Current chief resident in my orthodontic residency. I have spent numerous hours learning what admissions committees of all types look for. When I applied I received notable interview invites for 16 residencies and hope to share this knowledge with other applicants.
