As the first in my family to attend college who earned a full-ride scholarship to UC Berkeley, I deeply understand the stakes, challenges, and emotional weight of the college application process—especially for students navigating it without a roadmap. I've mentored students from underserved and immigrant communities, helping them find their voice, craft compelling narratives, and confidently choose schools that align with their goals and values. I graduated from Harvard with the John Harvard Scholarship (top 5% GPA), a major in Integrative Biology, and a minor in Computer Science. I have over 6 years of experience working as a full-time tutor for the ACT, SAT, and SSAT. I have also worked as a college essay consultant for the past two years. I have worked with over ten clients by giving interviews and assisting with college essays. Out of the five clients I worked with during this admissions cycle, four received interviews at Harvard. On average, my students have enjoyed improvements of anywhere between 150-250 points on the SAT. I know how to teach the Writing sections so that you will receive a perfect score. Two of my students have increased their scores from 600-800 in this section, and most of my students end my program scoring perfectly on the writing section especially. My ACT tutoring prep follows similar statistics. In the two tutoring companies I have worked for in the past, I was promoted to the highest tutoring status. I tutor full-time, and I am ready to help you reach the score of your dreams.

Going to the Air Force Academy was the best decision of my life. Because I went to school there, I earned my master's degree from Harvard (for free), got a job at one of the best places to work (Bain), and even met my wife. After it gave me so much, I wanted to give back to the Academy by serving as an admissions support officer. In this position, I mentored and evaluated 5 applicants, learning exactly what Service Academies look for in potential candidates. The application process is complex and intimidating, but, I'm ready to support you at every step. Service Academies aren't for everyone, but they are truly life-changing. Even though I attended a high school recognized as a college preparatory school, I found it difficult to find access to college counselors, SAT and ACT prep, and information about private institutions outside of the state. Moreover, during my college application cycle, my college counselor highly suggested I keep his college search within a more “reasonable” scope. I spent countless weeks and hours crafting my applications and was accepted into 14 of the 18 universities I applied to. I was the first in his high school to attend Stanford. Thus, I am passionate about guiding students and parents through this process to ensure their success! My greatest strengths as a coach include helping candidates develop and execute a project plan and timeline, identify a list of schools tiered for maximum success and admission reassurance, and highlight their strengths and voice in their essays. Additionally, I am highly skilled in interview preparation, helping students curate a stellar resume, and tailoring essays to fit the expectations for each desirable school choice.

As an immigrant to the US educated entirely in the public education system, I independently navigated the application and admissions processes for American undergraduate programs (without any coaching!) I applied to twenty universities (Public & Private) and succeeded in being admitted nearly everywhere I applied, including several Ivy League colleges like Brown, Dartmouth, Yale, as well as Stanford. While I was applying to colleges, I was also applying to many scholarships offered by universities and external scholarships, before ultimately deciding to attend Vanderbilt University, where I received a full merit scholarship. During my time at Vanderbilt, I applied to and received various additional scholarships to fund study abroad and international work experiences, including a FLAS fellowship and the Fulbright program (which I declined due to an offer to join the UN).
