I have experience studying at five universities in 4 European countries during my BA. My alma mater is Bard College Berlin, which has offered me full university funding. Therefore, I am well-acquainted with the college admission procedures.

I am a 2021 Wharton graduate, with 2 years of professional application coaching experience. During my MBA, I coached 15+ MBA students with career guidance, resume critiques, and interview prep. I first encountered coaching when I was applying to matriculate as an MBA in 2019. At that time, I realized how important an application coach could be, not only for the specialized toolset and knowledge base, but also for the encouragement during a high pressure application process. I am motivated to be that source of calm and focus during what can otherwise be a stressful application process. I am excited to dive into your background and help you uncover a narrative that will help you show you stand out to top programs.

Neither of my parents attended college in the United States nor knew what the application process entailed. I know that for so many students and their families, navigating the application process feels like trying to look into a black box. But now, on the other side, I know it's not a scary unknown. The strongest applications are the ones that convey your true self -- your hobbies, your quirks, your passions, and your dreams. That sounds simple, but it's much, much harder than trying to just write down what you *think* application committees want to read. I've spent years figuring out my own story and finding the most compelling way to write about it for my college application to Harvard and my graduate applications to Yale Law School and Oxford. I'm eager to help you find your story and feel confident in it.

Dr. Nick J. Accrocco has been in college and university admissions for 20 years. After his time at Vanderbilt University as both an undergraduate and graduate student, he would go on to obtain an Ed.D from the University of Houston. He proudly calls Houston, Texas his adopted home. His admissions experiences include Vanderbilt University, the University of Pennsylvania in the Ivy League, and MBA admissions at American University. He has also worked 6 high school communities across the United States; serving as Director of College and University admissions at 2 of these institutions. Lastly, he teaches adult learners worldwide how to help students achieve admission at Houston, Texas based Rice University. Nick prides himself on being transparent, compassionate, and (hopefully) funny. He has gone through this process himself, so he seeks to bring clarity to what the process is and what it is not.

I’m also a US Rhodes Scholar from Chicago, IL so am happy to chat about post-college fellowship life and application strategy as well. First, I have spent over 20 years in various senior management roles in marketing, product marketing and business development giving me a strong set of marketing and branding skills that are essential for any candidate to stand out. Second, I am a very strong writer and had publications published in various journals. That allows me to help applicants craft a strong, unique, differentiated and very well written story across all of the applications. Third, as a graduate of top schools such as Northwestern and Stanford I have had personal success in getting into top institutions and can speak from experience not just theory. I have also been an undergraduate admissions interviewer for Stanford admissions for 5 years, gaining valuable admissions qualifications experience. Finally I am very customer focused and task driven and always give a 100% effort to make sure my clients get the best results.

I take a humanistic, there's a school/program-for-everyone approach to college coaching. I've previously worked in admissions at Ivy League schools and in student affairs. I've also I've coached students, from first-year's in high school to seniors that got into Penn, Cornel and MIT, to name a few. I care about getting to know you so that we can find schools that aren't just the "best programs," but the "right fit." Ultimately, if don't enjoy life outside the classroom, you're more likely to be miserable inside the classroom. Outside of coaching, I'm an avid sports fan, a huge fan of the city of Philadelphia, a (bit of a) gamer, a reader, a (somewhat) reformed tv/movie junkie and have two rescue pets. Let's get at it!
