My externships with Beats by Dre and HUGO Boss taught me so much about marketing strategy and how consumers really perceive advertisements, but what made the experience especially impactful was Michael’s guidance throughout the process. He helped me understand how to apply what I was learning in a real-world context and pushed me to think more critically about why certain campaigns resonate. Now working at Dentsu, after previously being at WPP Media, two of the top advertising firms in the world, I’m able to draw on the foundation Michael helped me build. His support played a real role in preparing me to work on some of the biggest commercial campaigns in the industry.

I am a computer science and japanese double major at Hamilton. Writing was never really my stronger suit, and as such I’ve visited the writing center at Hamilton for nearly all my papers. It didn’t matter that the subjects that I wrote my papers on were completely different from Deanna’s field, she’d always be an incredible coach on how best to convey my arguments. Even with my Japanese thesis, while written in Japanese, Deanna was able to help me mold and restructure my paper based only on the drafts and skeletons that were written in english. I believe she has an incredible skill when it comes to analyzing essays and her analytical way of explaining makes it so much easier to not only grasp but for me to learn and incorporate in my future papers as well.

Austrella’s talent as a coach is truly beyond anything I’ve ever seen. The heart, work ethic, and passion she pours into her clients is the same dedication she pours into her own growth. She is incredibly hardworking, but what makes her exceptional goes far beyond any standard coach. She teaches confidence, adaptability, and the ability to navigate any room with presence and grace. Austrella has a unique gift for commanding a space while also bringing warmth and light into it. Her impact isn’t just professional, it’s personal, empowering, and lasting. One of the things I admire most about her is that the moment you connect with her, you become part of her community. And if she doesn’t have the exact answer to something, she will go out of her way to find someone who does.
