I attended Alex's group class that covered the Quant part of the GMAT/GRE and, having just started revising for the GMAT, I found it incredibly helpful. I cannot believe how many actionable strategies I learnt over the course of only an hour and a half! Alex is patient and incredibly knowledgeable. I also appreciated the fact that he used real-life examples to simplify the most challenging and abstract problems that we encountered during the session. I highly recommend him!

Working with Marie I was able to improve my quant score from a 157 to a 164 in just a few lessons. Recommend her for anyone trying to get their score to the next level.

Marie is a great tutor. She is very bright and cares about her students. She made each tutoring session fun, engaging and rewarding. She challenged me when I did not know the answer and made sure I understood the reasoning behind my responses. I could not have gotten into The University of Chicago Booth without her!

I attended the small group session with Alex. Learned some tricks for approaching the GMAT with problem solving strategies that are faster than brute-force math. Was exactly what I was looking for!

Right off the bat, Alex made practice for these daunting tests more enjoyable because you feel that "we are going to climb this mountain together" mentality. He brings many different strategies to the table to help parse out some of the more confusing questions. His knowledge and depth into each question as well as his willingness to help and share his thought process with different solving methods gives you ammunition against any question. Preparing for the tests with Alex's help has been a great experience I plan on continuing!

I worked with Alex in the GMAT/GRE Quant small group session and learned a lot. He sent out a survey ahead of time and chose questions and strategies that aligned with my weak points. As we worked through the problems, I benefited from hearing how others explained their approach to a problem, Alex cleared up misconceptions, and I saw how the various strategies best work for different question types and topics. Alex is bar none and goes above and beyond with the people he works with. In addition to being sharp, personable, and agile, Alex teaches strategies that yield quick improvement. I highly recommend also working with Alex to learn new methods and improve your score.

I worked with Alex for an hour, and I was blown away at how much I learned in such a short period of time. He has great tactical advice for tackling math problems. All of his advice is very intuitive and easy to implement, yet incredibly valuable. I feel much more confident on the math section after our session. Alex not only understands the GMAT problems perfectly, but he also has superb abilities at explaining tricky concepts. If you have the budget to get help from him, I highly recommend. He has got to be one of the top 10 tutors in the world when it comes to the GMAT/GRE.

Josh was an amazing tutor. I approached him with a very tight timeline of 3 weeks and he quickly mobilized and created a plan to get me to my target score. He first identified my weaknesses then created a calendar with detailed homework assignments for each week, completely removing the burden of planning off my shoulders. He was also very knowledgeable on the test and helped me see the problems through a lens I hadn’t before. These weren’t "quick tips" but rather ways of thinking that he taught me to adopt. GMAT questions can be rather deceitful, but he breaks each question type down to understandable parts that allow you to see through the tricks of the test writers. In only 20 days, he took me from a Q 38 to a 46, a feat I couldn't have accomplished by simply reviewing math on my own. Aside from that, he was also very supportive and easy to work with, which definitely helped keep up the morale!

Everyone can imagine that mastering the GMAT requires hard work, persistence, and ambition. However, thinking flexibly is a skill that is understated. Josh propelled my GMAT score to over 700 by guiding my thought process towards asking the right questions to understand the key takeaways from each GMAT problem. His patience and understanding of complex ideas and different learning styles drove my GMAT success. He had a unique way of challenging my thinking to set up a new framework for attacking problems. He empowers students by providing confidence in attacking the test. Ultimately, Josh helped me achieve my goal of going to Chicago Booth. The time we spent together was more than just as student and mentor, and I believe that we will absolutely be in touch post-GMAT and post-business school.
