I worked with Alex for many months and he was critical to my drastic score increase on the GRE. Alex was kind, generous, and supportive, all while providing great strategies that helped me improve my approach. It was great to have a tutor who genuinely cared about my success. I worked with Alex to prepare for the GRE. I was skeptical as we began meeting because I'd worked with other tutors and had awful experiences. I had high expectations coming into my meeting with Alex and was absolutely blown away by his preparation and knowledge of the subject matter we discussed. I'd ask an off topic question, and he'd immediately answer without skipping a beat. Helped me score my best score to date in just a few meetings.

The best advice I have ever received when it comes to preparing for a standardized test at any level was to work with Nirmal while studying for the GMAT. As I began studying for the GMAT I had a goal of scoring a 700, but when I took a diagnostic test the result was a 580. In my past experiences working with multiple test prep materials, study guides and teaching methods this difference would have been near impossible to overcome, but not with Nirmal. Nirmal systematically diagnosed my weakest areas in both the verbal and quantitative sections of the test, helped me to identify efficient procedures to solve the problems and made sure I stayed ready throughout the whole process. I cannot speak more highly of Nirmal and will certainly be recommending him to any friend I have even considering taking the GRE or GMAT!

I took the GMAT twice 3 years ago after taking a Manhattan Prep course and studying hard on my own. I didn't get my target score and gave up. Fast forward 3 years I decided to take the test again. I knew I needed an extra push and happened to find Nirmal. This was truly the best decision I've ever made. Nirmal knows exactly how to break concepts down in a way that's not only digestible but also replicable. He helped me fill gaps in my foundation and even helped solve issues I didn't know I had. He's incredibly flexible, is always available by phone, and genuinely kind. With his help I beat my own goal and am forever thankful to Nirmal for his help. Couldn't have done it without him!

Nirmal was very helpful and thorough. I took Manhattan GMAT classes and self studies including Official Guide books, but I was struggling to get to a score I was happy with. Nirmal really helped me focus on the areas that I needed help on, critical reasoning and reading comprehension especially, and I improved so much in a month and half. I also felt better studying on my own outside of tutor sessions, thanks to Nirmal. How to approach different question types, timing, etc. is different for everyone and Nirmal really helped me find my own pace and tactics to practice. He was very patient and thorough with each question I had and guided me to acheive the score I finally felt comfortable with. I appreciate all the effort and time Nirmal took to make sure that I understood the concepts tested and perform better each time -- even when I repeated my mistakes and my scores increased slowly. If you are on the fence, no need to look further and just go for it! I highly recommend Nirmal.

Nirmal was the best fit for what I was trying to achieve: a 700+ on the GMAT. He approached each session with a positive attitude that gave me the confidence to successfully execute on test day. Nirmal's strategy was critical to improving performance on my most challenging section, Math, and the two or three tips he offered right before test day helped me consistently score in the 97th percentile in Verbal. His advice was crucial to preparing for the day itself, and getting comfortable with what to expect before, during, and after the exam. Nirmal is thoughtful, patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging, and he will hold you accountable for your work and everything you want in a tutor. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Nirmal was a fantastic tutor. I reached out to him after taking a popular course while still struggling in the high 600s on the GMAT. He helped break the test down to the basics pushing me to understand the concepts behind the hardest questions. In no time I was scoring in the range I wanted to. Nirmal is an outstanding tutor and resource for those seeking an elite GMAT score. After months of online classes and inefficient self-study, I had scored 700 three consecutive times -- short of my target of 730. I was burnt out, and more than a little disheartened. Nirmal's targeted approach quickly identified my primary deficiencies (in this case, quant), and developed a focused program to help fill in my knowledge gaps. His study materials and teaching methods are excellent, but what most impressed me was his genuine interest in my success. You won't find a more responsive, professional, and passionate tutor out there.

Simply put, Nirmal is the ideal tutor. On my first practice GMAT, I achieved a total score of 560. By the time I was done with Nirmal's regimen, a mere 10 lessons under my belt, I scored in my target range and got a 710. I could not have achieved this score without his guidance. His mastery of the material is second to none. However, the true benefit of working with Nirmal is that he understands how to approach different types of learners. His proprietary learning material and the course goals he sets up are tailored to the individual, and if one explanation of a challenging problem does not suffice, he thinks of innovative ways to find a solution. He aligns his efforts directly with the student's and his outgoing nature makes the process not only rewarding but enjoyable. In my opinion, he is the best tutor around.

Before meeting with Nirmal, I had self studied for about 3- 4months. I went through all the usual guides (Manhattan, Kaplan, Official Guides) and had taken upwards of 8 practice tests. While my practice scores improved over time, I didn't have a great understanding of why I was doing the things I was doing. As a result, when faced with the stress of the actual exam, I underperformed badly and scored a 580. Nirmal helped me clearly think through what I was really looking for, and how to best approach getting there. He never forced the application of a specific method or formula, but rather, guided my thought process around what I was trying to accomplish on each question. This was a breakthrough for me that allowed me to relax and stop rushing through questions blindly hoping to find an answer that made sense. Prior to working together, I hated exponents and always hoped to avoid them on the test. After working on that area with Nirmal, and going through his worksheets that he created, exponents became my favorite problem type and his material and teaching really helped me master that area. Nirmal was very invested in my score and was extremely flexible working around my sometimes hectic schedule. He makes himself readily accessible and is a tremendous resource for anyone who is serious above improving their GMAT score. He is also developing his own GMAT material which was extremely helpful for me to use.
