I signed up for the 2-school package for HBS and Stanford GSB with Alex as my consultant. Having been offered admissions to 4 out of the 6 programs, including HBS, I am very satisfied with the results. The first and most valuable help that Alex provided was to read through my 21-page 360 assessment and work with me to identify and strategize on how to tell my story. Having come from a non-traditional background and not had the strongest academic credentials, I believe this proved to be critical to giving the admissions committees a glimpse into who I am. I struggled a bit with the actual personal statement composition, especially with spelling out my motivation for the MBA. Alex tried hard to focus me on expressing my short-term and long-term goals. This ended up being difficult for me, and Alex was incredibly patient throughout the process. What proved pivotal for me was the flight test. I received holistic feedback about my package and also some direction about leaning into my goals. With this affirmation, I was able to reuse the themes and complete all 6 applications. I applied in round 1, but was waitlisted by HBS. This meant another round of updates as well as some financial aid correspondence that Alex was patient to review and provide timely feedback. Having had the initial assessment of most of the schools being a reach, I would have appreciated more time with Alex and perhaps a little more guidance pulling the package together. Once the application season starts, it is easy for anxiety to set in. Alex was definitely the professional to see me through. The results speak for themselves, and I am thrilled with the outcome.

I used interview package for my Stanford MSx program application. I had a mock interview with Alex and also sent him a recorded interview for comments. For the mock interview, Alex wrote down my responses with comments, which is really helpful for me to review my responses and polish them later. He was very encouraging and gave me a lot of useful advice which made my practice experience much more enjoyable. Alex was also responsive in replying my emails with questions on how to answer certain interview questions. He helped me build my confidence which I think played a critical role in nailing my interview later.

The attention to detail was simply unmatched. Alex was able to extract value out of nearly every individual sentence for every essay. He was critical not only in helping to tell my own story, but also in meticulously crafting it for each individual school, along with incredible prep for each interview. Words can’t possibly do justice to how helpful Alex was for the admissions process. I am an older candidate with a previous career as a physician and startup founder, and having Alex’s guidance was the single most important part of my MBA process. Despite how many applications I’ve done before (college, medical school, residency, grant writing, etc.), Alex brought an entirely new perspective and a mastery of personal storytelling that I had never encountered. In addition to his expertise, he was also incredibly fast in turning over comments for essays, allowing us to rapidly go through numerous iterations. Simply put, I can’t possibly recommend Alex highly enough, and you’d be foolish to leave something as important as MBA admissions in the hands of anyone else!

I worked with Alex to prepare for my Stanford GSB interview and strongly believe that I would not have been admitted without his guidance. He is thoughtful, came prepared with a structured agenda for our mock interview and pushed me on a number of topics which I think prepared me really well for the actual interview. Alex also followed-up with me after decisions were released and helped me think through which school to attend which I really appreciated. I worked with Emilie on my deferred MBA applications to fine tune them before submission. She was a simply wonderful coach and I have the highest praise for her. She spotted things in my application essays that I had missed or was unaware of and provided structured feedback that helped me revise and take the essays to a much higher level of quality and depth. Not only that, knowing that I had tight deadlines, she worked quickly to provide her reviews efficiently, so I could complete things well in time. Before starting each application, she would give me an idea of how to breakdown the hours/time, so that I could achieve my goals. She also arranged calls during which we discussed my application, her feedback, and how to implement it to improve my essays. On a personal level, I found her extremely kind. With her help, I felt very confident that I had submitted my best possible work and am really grateful that I reached out to her on the Leland platform.
