Alec is the best of the best at helping hungry underdogs succeed. While on active duty in the Marine Corps, I met Alex at a Veterans Recruiting Day at Wharton's MBA program. Alec was the President of the Wharton Veterans Club at that time. Friendly, warm, sincere, and insightful in person, Alec was instrumental in supporting my application process and eventual acceptance to and enrollment in Wharton's MBA program over the next year and a half. Following the recruiting day, Alec stayed in touch with me for the next year offering support and perspective on my application, resume, and essays. He was incredibly generous with his time. He responded promptly, directly, and thoroughly. His advice was tactical, actionable, and effective at every turn. Alec was particularly skilled at helping me think through my own "narrative," a concept I'd found challenging and hadn't quite considered before, still locked into a very robotic, military style of communicating my background and accomplishments.
