Package Description:

An add-on package designed to be layered onto any MBA application package (Single-School, Multi-School, or any of the school-specific HBS/Stanford/Wharton/Columbia packages) for candidates applying to a JD/MBA program. JD/MBA applications require a separate law school application alongside the MBA application, additional essays, a separate recommendation letter strategy, LSAT/GRE strategy guidance, and a unified narrative explaining why both degrees. This add-on covers the full additional work. JD/MBA programs at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, NYU, Penn, Columbia, Northwestern, and other top dual-degree pathways evaluate candidates differently than traditional MBA programs. The work centers on connecting your career trajectory to both legal and business training, articulating not just "why an MBA" or "why a JD," but the specific reasons why the combination of both degrees is strategically necessary for what you're trying to do. Schools are sophisticated about this and applications that don't make a compelling joint case are rejected. Test strategy is also a meaningful piece of the work. Some JD/MBA programs (Columbia, Penn Carey, Northwestern) accept GMAT or GRE without requiring the LSAT, while others (Harvard, Yale, NYU, Chicago, Stanford) still require the LSAT separately. Knowing which testing path makes sense for your school list, and the timing of those tests relative to your overall application timeline — is a key strategic decision we work through early. The add-on includes: Strategic positioning specific to the dual-degree case, surfacing the through-line that connects your legal interests to your business goals, and articulating it in a way that holds up under admissions scrutiny. Law school personal statement: full drafting and revisions through multiple rounds. The legal essay is fundamentally different from the MBA essay in tone, structure, and what it evaluates — we treat it as its own substantive piece of work. Law school supplements (where required): every additional prompt the program asks for. LSAT/GRE/GMAT strategy guidance: which test, when, target scores, and timing relative to your overall application timeline. Law school recommendation letter strategy: who to ask, how the law school side differs from MBA recommendations, and how to brief recommenders effectively. Coordination of the parallel applications operationally: making sure deadlines, materials, and submissions align cleanly across both schools. If you're invited to interview at the law school, interview preparation is included as part of the add-on.

Additional details

Coaching delivered via live sessions and .

This add-on is layered onto your existing MBA package and integrates seamlessly with the broader engagement. You work with one coach across both applications rather than splitting between MBA and law school consultants. Live sessions covering JD-specific strategy and drafting are scheduled alongside the regular MBA package sessions, and async essay review on the law school side runs in parallel with MBA essay work. The connecting throughline of the work is making sure both applications land on a coherent joint narrative, not two unrelated essays explaining two unrelated motivations, but a single, well-articulated case for why both degrees together make strategic sense for your career.

Refund Policy

Format: This is an add-on package designed to be layered onto any MBA application package. It is not a standalone package and requires concurrent purchase of an MBA package. Program scope: This add-on covers up to one JD/MBA program at the flat $2,500 rate. Candidates applying to multiple JD/MBA programs (e.g., HBS/Yale Law AND Penn/Penn Law) will have additional JD/MBA programs scoped at intake. Pricing: $2,500 flat, layered onto the base MBA package price. Test strategy guidance: Strategy guidance is provided on which test (LSAT, GRE, or GMAT) to take based on your school list. Actual test preparation is not included; candidates needing test prep can engage that separately. Deliverables timeline: The law school work runs in parallel with the MBA work and follows the same overall engagement timeline as the underlying MBA package. Refunds: Refund terms follow the underlying MBA package refund policy, since this add-on is integrated with that engagement.

Admissions Expert | Columbia MBA | 15 Years of M7 & Top School Admits

I've spent the last 16+ years helping ambitious applicants get into the world's most competitive MBA programs, including Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, MIT Sloan, Yale SOM, and Booth. Across 200+ MBA clients, 95% have been admitted to at least one of their top-choice programs, and over half have received scholarship money. I graduated from NYU Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Economics and English, and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School in 2020, where I focused on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. That gives me a current, first-hand perspective on what M7 adcoms are actually looking for. My career in this work started in Singapore, at a test prep and admissions firm I helped expand into Shanghai, running tutoring and admissions consulting in both markets before coming back to New York to found my own practice. That international background means I'm equally comfortable working with US candidates and applicants from Asia, Europe, and beyond, particularly the kinds of candidates who often have the strongest stories but the hardest time articulating them: finance professionals reinventing themselves, engineers making a pivot, non-traditional career switchers. My work focuses on coherence. Most applicants arrive with strong but scattered material: a real career, real accomplishments, but no through-line. My job is to help you find the narrative that ties it all together, build a school list that's strategic (not aspirational), and turn essays into the strongest part of your application instead of the most stressful. If you want a structured, results-focused partner, let's talk.
