I graduated from NYU Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Economics and English, and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School in 2020, where I focused on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Before joining Leland, I founded and ran my own boutique tutoring company in New York, leading a team of tutors and developing proprietary GMAT curriculum used with 1000+ clients. Hi, I'm Erfun Geula, the founder of Compass Prep. I'm an honors Yale graduate with five 760+ GMAT scores (highest Quant: 51, highest Verbal: 48) scores and a perfect GRE score (Quant: 170, Verbal: 170), and I've tutored the GMAT and GRE full-time for the past 13 years and have over 15 years and 12,000 hours of tutoring experience. I graduated in three years from the University of Miami with a Bachelors degree in the fields of Environmental Science and Economics. After coaching over 100 students in academic and test preparation, working for a test prep company, and providing management and support for undergraduate students in the University of Miami Herbert Business School, I decided to pursue GMAT preparation. I've been preparing students for the GMAT Focus for over 10 years. I've worked with 400+ students, achieving a median score of 665 (equivalent to ~720 on the old GMAT, 94th percentile) with improvements of up to 400 points.
