With a Doctor of Education in Higher Education and extensive experience in medical school admissions, I am well-equipped to guide you through the complex journey of medical school applications. As a former Director of Admissions at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University, I have managed the review of over 11,000 applications and selected diverse cohorts of medical students. My role as a Premium Med Admissions Consultant at Blueprint Test Prep has allowed me to assist many applicants in crafting compelling personal statements, secondary essays, and preparing for interviews. With over 20 years in medical education, I am a passionate coach and mentor to those seeking admission to medical school, as well as to medical students applying for residency programs. Having served as an MMI Interviewer I have a strong understanding of the qualities and traits that admissions committees are seeking. Working closely with medical students from first to fourth year, I have coached and mentored dozens of medical students as they navigate the residency application and interview process. I am particularly drawn to learners who are first generation college students and/or come from socio-economically challenged backgrounds. I believe medicine needs learners who reflect the patient populations they will serve and who bring intelligence, compassion, and a strong work ethic. It is my mission to help those learners achieve their goals.

Despite not having a perfect transcript or resume of accolades, I was accepted to a medical school that boasts a <2% acceptance rate. I am driven to bolster the next generation of physicians and leaders in healthcare by helping fill the gaps in the application, interview, and school selection process.

Welcome to my profile! As a recent matriculant of the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, the application process is fresh in my mind and I am here to help! Just last year, I received interview invitations from more than 18 elite medical and graduate programs and acceptances from the likes of Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and more. For most institutions, MD-PhD applicants are evaluated separately by the medical and graduate school, meaning that despite my specialized track I have ample credentials to help both medical and graduate students as they undergo this rigorous process. As a first generation college student, I have also worked especially closely with my Alma matar’s Ivy League career services department, providing me with additional professional knowledge that I can share with you! I have also serviced as an interviewer both for the University of Pennsylvania undergraduate early and regular decision cycle and Perelman School of Medicine’s applicants. I currently conduct volunteer career services counseling for first generation low income students at Penn interested pursuing medicine and biomedical research.
