Hi everyone! I’m Sydney, a 2024 MBA graduate from Harvard Business School. Having been admitted to several M7 programs, I know how to shape a story that stands out in a highly competitive process. In my own applications, I successfully explained both a past career pivot - from Investment Banking to the less traditional field of Investor Relations - and my plans to pivot again after HBS into the business of sports. That dual experience gives me a unique perspective on how to craft essays and interviews that clearly frame both where you’ve been and where you want to go. I started my career on the trading floor before moving into investment banking at Credit Suisse, then transitioned into growth equity investing at TPG’s Rise Fund, and now invest in early-stage startups as a venture capitalist. I also founded a nonprofit focused on youth mentorship and leadership development, which has shaped my passion for helping others tell authentic, mission-driven stories. As a former Division I college athlete, I bring the same discipline, focus, and competitive edge to my coaching that I brought to the field.
