For the past decade, I’ve been at Warburg Pincus—a top-10 global private equity firm managing over $100 billion—where I’m currently a Principal. Throughout my career, I’ve interviewed hundreds of candidates and directly mentored dozens of Analysts, Associates, and Vice Presidents. I know firsthand what it takes to break into competitive finance roles and advance within them. I have four years of Investment Banking experience, advising on M&A transactions at Rothschild & Co and Jefferies, where I also took part in recruiting. What sets me apart from other stellar coaches on this platform is that I didn't get into IB via a traditional route. I started my career in accounting and through a combination of networking, story crafting, technical prep, and grit found my way into a middle market investment bank. If you want to lateral to IB (or get in generally) I can help you. I had a number of significant roadblocks including poor health in my undergrad, a mediocre GPA and limited connections in IB. After figuring out which levers I needed to pull and which doors I needed to bang on, I now am almost a year into my job at Piper Sandler with a mega fund PE offer as well. Morgan, I cover the technology sector in the investment bank and have served as a Harvard and UChicago School Captain for campus recruiting.
