I worked with Erfun the past few months on the GMAT and would emphatically recommend him! After studying on my own through Veritas, I was not satisfied with my performance and knew I needed a tutor to take me to the next level. I was initially hesitant to meet over Skype, but it was seamless and made no difference whatsoever. With his help, I went from a baseline 560 to a 740! Erfun is incredibly thorough and detail-oriented, and creates a study plan specifically to target where you need it most. Other tutors I spoke to were only going to help with quant, and as a native English speaker (and strong writer) I thought I didn't need as much work on that side. However, we worked on both together and the verbal made just as much of a difference! He will find the places you need work and help you hone your skills where you need it most to get the best score possible. During our first session, we set realistic, achievable goals together and created a plan on how to get there. If you put in the work, he will help you get to where you want to go. You get what you pay for with this stuff, and while his rate is not the cheapest you'll find, invest in YOURSELF and work with him. It'll be worth it. Marie has been working with my daughter to help her prepare for her SAT's. There are really no words to describe how much my daughter has grown and improved in her math. It's not just her testing that has improved, but we have seen huge growth in her overall performance as a student. Marie has inspired her and challenged her. My daughter used to hate math and dread it because it was so difficult for her, but now she feels empowered; Marie has taught her the necessary skills to give her the confidence she needs, not only for the SAT's but for all of her academics. Marie is not only an amazing teacher who is able to make difficult concepts accessible, but she is a role model.

Dalal arranged a session for me to learn about my GMAT journey. After patiently listening to me for good 30 minutes, she told me methods that worked for her. Her way of tackling Verbal questions intrigued me to think beyond what I ever imagined. Her ' Never Give Up' approach, even if you find yourself in the rut after so many attempts, is something I admire a lot. Being disciplined and helpful are two amazing qualities, among many, that are intrinsic to her. I am so thankful to have worked with Marie while preparing to take the GMAT exam. Her practice problems were extremely helpful, as well as her practice exam recommendations and her advice regarding which quantitative topics I should focus on. While preparing for the GMAT, I started off with a few online courses and strategies, just like most other GMAT takers, but six months into these courses, I realized that they weren't as helpful as I had hoped and that I had to rethink on my strategy. My baseline official mock score was 420, and after completing those courses, I scored a disappointing 490. I was crushed for a few weeks and was desperate for help. I tried to find posts online from people who initially scored similar to the score I got and then made great leaps to a 700+ score, and it was only then that I stumbled upon Dalal. After reading her incredible success story of improving from a score of 250 to 780, I reached out to Dalal. We had multiple calls where we talked about the difficulties I was facing. She not only took the time to listen intently but also understood my situation, helped me skim through a lot of fluff, and suggested the right tools and strategies that could work for "me". and I have been more productive ever since. Dalal was very meticulous in teaching me GMAT content, she always made sure I understood everything she was explaining, she always kept me motivated and kept me aiming for higher scores no matter what background knowledge I had or what base score I began with. Erfun and I worked together throughout 4 intense sessions within a span of 2 weeks, primarily focused on the verbal section of the GRE. My diagnostic was 159 verbal and 170 quant--my target score was 163+ on the verbal and 168+ on the quant. There are a ton of resources on standardized tests--sometimes, the access to and the knowledge of the best resources can make a big difference in your learning and progress. Erfun will save you hours of time and trial and error researching your best options--he has an incredible proprietary database of all the best resources. Many of the materials he's put together himself so you can't get them elsewhere. 2. Structured Learning Approach. One trick to improving quickly on standardized tests is a developing learning plan catered to one's own unique needs. Erfun's tutored so many students that he's able to diagnose my painpoints more quickly and accurately than I could myself. After each lesson, he'd assign me homework in which I could practice the tools I would learn from each lesson, yielding immense improvements in my accuracy. 3. Reasoning-based Methodology . Erfun focuses on REASONING, not gimmicks or knowing every word in the English language. He imparted me wisdom that made me think about the test from the test-maker's perspective. It became a matter of logically finding my way to the answers (especially on verbal) in a structured way--previously, I had been intuitively finding my way to the answers, a method that wasn't reliable.

Erfun is an incredible GMAT tutor. He helped me raise my score from a 710 to a 770 in just a few months. He quickly identified my problem areas and was over-prepared with practice questions, exercises, and trainings to address those shortcomings. I originally approached the GMAT thinking I needed to learn more quant formulas and grammar rules. In fact, Erfun helped me develop an entirely new approach to the GMAT, understanding when I should guess, how to reduce my time on easier questions, and how I can quickly eliminate answers.
