Conor Ahern is the best ever. I purchased unlimited consulting and worked with him through more than 10 essays. Conor provides constructive and efficient feedback and is super helpful in explaining each prompt for me. I can’t imagine an application cycle without him. And all the advice and counsel is definitely a bonus for a non-native speaker like me.

I had the joy of working with Conor Ahern, who has genuinely been extraordinary throughout. With Conor’s help, I received several amazing offers across the T-14, including Harvard Law School, one of my dream schools coming into this process. While many are proficient editors in the sense of correcting tenses and rectifying grammar, Conor was able to enhance my writing across various schools and statements, all the while keeping (and sometimes even helping bring out) my voice. I started my time with Conor with a disjointed personal statement that lacked direction, with certain sentences that, in retrospect, did not make sense. With Conor’s help, I was able to develop a statement that, while remaining true to my voice, was multitudes above what I had started with. From teasing out ideas to streamlining passages, Conor was instrumental in helping me build a narrative and several statements that I have received compliments on from admissions officers. Beyond assisting with my writing statements, Conor also helped me flesh out my narrative. Conor was patient and thoughtful throughout as I bounced from idea to idea, and he always brought a valuable perspective on how a particular topic or idea would appear to the admissions committee. With his help, I was able to develop not only several pieces of writing that I am proud of but also a cohesive narrative that has greatly aided me throughout this process. Finally, I would be remiss not to mention Conor’s patience, thoughtfulness, and communication throughout this process. A large part of what he has been able to do for me, I believe, comes down to the fact that he genuinely cared and wanted to help me tell my story. I greatly valued his direct yet understanding advice and comments, all of which have left me with confidence and a clear understanding of what I needed to improve upon. In sum, I unreservedly recommend Conor Ahern's writing and consulting services, as he has been instrumental in helping me succeed throughout my law school application cycle.

Without a clear post-MBA goal and a problematic undergraduate GPA, I knew I had to invest in an admission consultant to build an outstanding application for my target schools (M7/Top 15). Therefore, I spent a month researching different admission consultancies. Damon is Stanford MBA himself and has worked on both sides of the admission process. He leveraged his experience and knowledge in working with Asian candidates and worked patiently with me to come up with a unique admission strategy. The goal was to overcome a spotty academic record and make me stand out from a competitive applicant pool. I had all the material - professional progression, leadership and extracurriculars, and a strong GMAT. But it was with Damon’ s help that I was able to weave a compelling story into my essays. Damon was also skillful in choosing recommenders. Instead of two work references, we went with one work reference and the other from my volunteer advisor, a strategy which further differentiated me. Damon stuck to the 2 business day turn-around and acted as a sounding board whenever I came up with new crazy ideas for my essays. I had two calls with Damon for interview prep. The first lasted about an hour as an overview and the second a mock interview. Damon drilled me on my story in the mock interview, forcing me come up with better answers. Going through a stressful (in a good way) mock interview with Damon definitely boosted my confidence in dealing with unexpected or difficult situations. Thankfully, my interview went quite smoothly and I was eventually admitted to CBS. I’m very excited to start my new life next year in NYC!

I was so impressed with my consultant, Damon. From the beginning, I could tell that he was doing this for the right reasons. Cathy helped me throughout the essay writing process, for a variety of different schools. She was able to bounce back and forth between schools and help me strike the right tone for each one. She's extremely nice but is very honest and will let you know what you need to work on. I highly recommend her for any help with essays or overall application consulting.
