About Stephen

Stephen’s path has been shaped by resilience and sustained execution under pressure. He worked multiple jobs to support himself through school while pursuing high-level academic training, biomedical research, and leadership roles. Alongside his medical education, he founded AdmitMD Consulting, an admissions consulting firm grounded in strong client results and real admissions experience. Stephen is also a professional speaker, delivering talks on resilience and purpose and making national media appearances, including on Fox News. He is currently a fourth year medical student applying into neurological surgery, bringing the same discipline, clarity, and accountability that have defined his academic, entrepreneurial, and speaking career into his coaching work.

Why do I coach?

Stephen coaches because he has seen, firsthand, how talented, hardworking applicants can be overlooked when their applications fail to clearly communicate their strengths. After years of serving on admissions committees and voting on final decisions, he recognized that success in medical school admissions, and life in general, is less about checking boxes and more about clarity, positioning, and execution. He coaches to give clients an honest, strategic advantage, helping them present their stories in a way that withstands admissions committee scrutiny and leads to real acceptances.

During his time at the National Institutes of Health, Stephen focused on translational brain tumor immunotherapy, working at the interface of laboratory discovery and clinical trial design. His research involved the development of immunotherapy-based clinical trials for patients with malignant brain tumors, alongside mechanistic laboratory studies aimed at reversing immune suppression within the glioblastoma tumor microenvironment. In the lab, he investigated epigenetic modulation of anti-tumor immunity using GSK-126, an EZH2 inhibitor, to restore immune responsiveness and enhance therapeutic efficacy. Concurrently, Stephen completed a Master of Science in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University, with advanced training in molecular targets, drug discovery, and translational therapeutics.
