Package Description:

A small-group SAT course capped at 5 students, the right balance between the focused attention of 1-on-1 tutoring and the accessibility of a group program. Designed for motivated students who want structured, expert-led prep alongside a small cohort of peers working toward the same goal. The course runs twice a week for 2.5 months: 1.5-hour live virtual sessions, totaling 30 hours of instruction. Every cohort is capped at 5 students so the group stays small enough that I can know each student's strengths, weaknesses, and progression patterns individually, not the way you'd be lost in a class of 20. The course begins with a full-length proctored diagnostic SAT for every student before the cohort starts. I review every diagnostic carefully so I'm walking into the first session already knowing where each student stands and where they need to focus. Throughout the course, students take additional full-length proctored practice tests under real conditions, and we work through detailed reviews of every test together. Each session focuses on the highest-leverage SAT material: Reading and Writing strategy, Math fundamentals and pattern recognition, time management, and the test-design insights that separate top scorers from average ones. All curriculum, materials, and practice tests are included in the course. Students don't need to purchase additional prep books or services. One of the things that sets this course apart from typical group SAT programs: I do bi-weekly individual parent check-ins and session summaries after each session for every student. Group prep can feel anonymous to families paying for it; mine doesn't. Every class parents will get a session summary, and every two weeks, parents get a direct touchpoint where I share that specific student's progress, what they're working on, what's improving, and where they still need to focus. The course is designed for students at any starting score band, strong students aiming for 1500+, mid-range students working toward 1400+, or students rebuilding fundamentals on their way to a competitive score.

Coaching delivered via live sessions.

This is a structured small-group course, not a one-on-one engagement, but also not a passive class where students sit and listen. With only 5 students per cohort, I run each session interactively: every student is engaged in working through problems, asking questions, and getting real feedback within the session. I know each student's strengths and weaknesses individually, and I adjust my teaching across the cohort accordingly. My approach is built on pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution, not endless practice tests. The SAT rewards students who understand how the test is designed, where the traps are, and how to manage the clock. That's what I teach across the course, in a structure that's rigorous but accessible. Outside of class, students have direct messaging access for time-sensitive questions, and parents get session summaries and bi-weekly individual check-ins so they always know how their student is progressing. The course is the right fit for students who are motivated, want structured prep, and value learning alongside a small cohort of peers, but who also want a coach who actually knows them as an individual, not as one of 20 names in a class.

Refund Policy

Course structure: 30 hours of instruction across 2.5 months, delivered as twice-weekly 1.5-hour live virtual sessions. Cohorts are capped at 5 students and have a minimum of 4 students to run. Pre-course diagnostic: Every student takes a full-length proctored SAT diagnostic before the course begins. The diagnostic must be completed at least one week before the course start date so I can analyze each student's results and prepare. Session attendance: Sessions are live and are not recorded. Students are expected to attend in real time. If a student misses a session, I provide written notes covering the material; recordings are not provided due to the interactive cohort format. Parent check-ins: Session summaries after each class along with bi-weekly individual parent check-ins that are scheduled directly with each family. These are typically 15–20 minutes via video call. Materials: All curriculum, practice materials, and full-length practice tests are provided as part of the course. No additional purchases are required. Cancellation policy: Once a cohort begins, the course is non-refundable. Refunds are available up to one week before the cohort start date. Cohort minimums: A minimum of 4 enrolled students is required for a cohort to run. If a cohort doesn't meet minimum enrollment, students are offered enrollment in the next available cohort, a credit toward 1-on-1 tutoring, or a full refund. Upgrade option: Students who complete the group course and want additional 1-on-1 work afterward receive a 10% credit toward any 1-on-1 SAT tutoring package booked within 30 days of course completion. Pricing: $4,995 per student.

I scored a perfect 1600 on the SAT - and I've spent the last 16+ years helping students get as close to that ceiling as possible. Across 3,000+ students, my SAT tutees average 200+ point gains, with many breaking 1500+ on their way to admission at top US universities. I graduated from NYU Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Economics and English, and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School in 2020. Before joining Leland, I founded and ran my own boutique tutoring firm in New York, leading a team of tutors and developing proprietary SAT curriculum used with thousands of students. My approach is built on pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution, not endless practice tests. The SAT rewards students who understand how the test is designed, where the traps are, and how to manage the clock. That's what I teach.
