Package Description:
Focused 1-on-1 SAT tutoring designed for students who have a specific weakness to address or a short timeline to work with. The right package for students who don't need a full prep arc - just expert, targeted work on the areas that are holding their score back. The package begins with a stretegy session to identify exactly where points are leaking. From there, we use the 12 hours of 1-on-1 instruction to focus tightly on the highest-leverage areas: whether that's a Math content gap, a Reading and Writing pacing issue, time management problems, or specific question types being missed consistently. All curriculum and prep materials are included in the package. I provide a custom plan tailored to the student's diagnostic results, and we work through it together across the engagement. A second proctored practice test mid-engagement allows us to track real progress and adjust focus as needed. The Targeted package is best suited for students who already have a baseline of solid SAT preparation and need expert work on a specific weakness, not students starting from scratch. Students starting from a lower baseline or aiming for larger score gains should consider Standard Tutoring (24 hours) or the Intensive package (40 hours).

This package is built for focused, surgical work, not broad curriculum coverage. Before our first session, your student takes a full-length proctored diagnostic, and I analyze the results carefully to identify exactly where the highest-leverage focus areas are. Our 12 hours of 1-on-1 work go directly to those areas. My approach is built on pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution, not endless practice tests. The SAT rewards students who understand how the test is designed, where the traps are, and how to manage the clock. In a Targeted engagement, I'm laser-focused on the specific patterns that are costing your student points and the strategic shifts that will unlock the gain. Between sessions, your student has direct messaging access for time-sensitive questions. The Targeted package is the right fit when there's a clear, identifiable problem to solve - not when a student is starting from scratch or aiming for a major score transformation.
Engagement timeline: This package is designed to be completed across approximately 4–6 months. Compressed timelines can be accommodated for students with specific test windows; longer timelines are also possible. Hours: 40 hours of live 1-on-1 instruction, plus async messaging access throughout the engagement. Pre-engagement diagnostic and goal-setting: A full-length proctored SAT diagnostic and a comprehensive goal-setting session with student and parents are completed before tutoring begins. Materials: All curriculum, practice materials, and proctored full-length practice tests are provided. No additional purchases are required. Live sessions: 1-on-1 video sessions are scheduled at mutually convenient times via my calendar, typically 60–90 minutes each. Cadence is typically weekly across the engagement, stepping up to twice-weekly in the weeks before official test dates if appropriate. Cancellations require 24 hours notice; no-shows or late cancellations count toward the 40-hour total. Response time: I respond to messages within 24 hours on weekdays and within 48 hours on weekends. During peak periods, most responses are same-day or next-day. Practice tests: 2–4 full-length proctored practice tests are included throughout the engagement, each followed by a live debrief session and full written review. Score milestone reviews: Formal progress reviews with parents are scheduled at multiple points across the engagement to align on progress, focus areas, and any strategy adjustments. Retake support: If a second SAT attempt is part of the strategy, full retake preparation is included - score report analysis, identification of remaining weak spots, and refined strategy for the second test. No additional package or fee is required. Add-on hours: Additional hours beyond 40 can be added at the package per-hour rate of $275/hour if more work is needed. Refunds: Refunds are available on a pro-rated basis for unused hours within the first 45 days of engagement. After 45 days, the package is non-refundable. Unused hours remain available throughout the prep cycle.
