About Carol
Land a role that energizes you: one that plays to your strengths, aligns with your values, and excites you to wake up on Mondays (no more Sunday scaries!). I've spent 20+ years at Google, Facebook, and Goldman Sachs interviewing candidates, reviewing promotion packets, writing performance reviews, and building teams. I've seen what works and what doesn't when it comes to getting recognized, getting promoted, making a strategic career move, or stepping into leadership. I work with two types of clients: 1) People who know they're capable of more but aren't sure how to get there. You might be stuck in a role that doesn't fit anymore, doing great work that no one seems to notice, or ready to pivot entirely but unsure where to start. 2) High performers ready to transition into management or refine their leadership skills. You're either making the leap from individual contributor to manager or you're already leading and want to build stronger, more effective teams. For career transitions and pivots, we'll work on: - Getting clear on what actually energizes you using StrengthsFinder and values-based coaching (not just what looks good on paper) - Building your personal board of directors: mentors and senior sponsors who can open doors for you and keep you accountable - Positioning yourself for the role you want: optimizing your resume and LinkedIn, developing interview stories that showcase your potential, refining your networking approach - Creating a structured 90-day plan with clear frameworks and next steps so you stay focused and in control For leadership development, we'll work on: - Performance management: setting clear expectations, giving actionable feedback, conducting effective reviews, and managing both low performers and high-potential team members - Building and hiring: interviewing effectively to create diverse, high-performing teams - Communication skills: delivering difficult feedback, navigating tough conversations, and communicating across different audiences - Developing your team: coaching and mentoring direct reports, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting career development - Transitioning into management: building your leadership presence, demonstrating potential, and navigating the shift from doing the work to leading others You'll walk away with concrete tools, clear next steps, and the confidence to move forward. What clients have done after working together: - Earned promotions (including moves from individual contributor to management track) - Pivoted into tech, product, or strategy roles from different industries - Landed roles at companies like Google, Meta, Apple, CapitalOne, and startups - Built executive visibility and secured internal sponsorship - Went from scattered job searching to multiple interviews within 30-60 days - Successfully transitioned into first-time management roles - Improved team performance and retention as new or experienced managers Schedule an intro call with me to discuss your goals and how I can help!
Why do I coach?
I'm passionate about leveraging my own career journey, which includes numerous successful pivots, to help others unlock their full potential. I want to equip others with skills and frameworks to enable them to succeed. I wish I had coaching when I was earlier in my career and this is one way I can give back.
