Carmen’s AI Services Qualifications
Experience level: Executive
I've spent 15+ years at the intersection of revenue strategy and enterprise transformation. I've led go-to-market and sales compensation programs at LinkedIn and SAP, and building RevEng Consulting into a recognized force in commercial operations. That foundation is what makes my approach to AI strategy different: I don't coach frameworks in the abstract. I help leaders translate AI capabilities into real revenue impact — rethinking how teams are structured, incentivized, and equipped to sell and operate in an AI-native environment. My work spans Fortune 500s and high-growth companies across SaaS, professional services, and technology. I hold advanced degrees from Harvard, Northwestern, the Kelley School of Business, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Whether you're a revenue leader trying to figure out where AI fits in your GTM motion, or an operator navigating the org design implications of automation, I'll help you cut through the noise and build something that actually works.

About Carmen
I am a founding partner at RevEng Consulting, a boutique firm advising companies on sales compensation, revenue operations, and go-to-market strategy. Before starting RevEng in 2017, I spent more than a decade in senior leadership roles at LinkedIn and SAP, where I hired, scaled, and led revenue teams across industries and continents. My academic path reflects a similar mix of breadth and depth, with degrees and graduate work at Northwestern Medill, Harvard, Indiana University Kelley, and the University of Illinois Chicago. I work best with leaders, founders, and rising professionals who want sharper thinking about their careers, their compensation, or their next big move. When I am not with clients, you will usually find me walking six or seven miles a day around Elmhurst with my two dogs, Daisy and Winston, following the Cubs through every kind of season, or chasing down a Serie A match.
Why do I coach?
I found myself in situations where I was informally coaching for years before Leland gave it a name. Someone would email asking how to price a first consulting engagement, or how to read a sales comp plan, or whether a particular VP job was actually worth taking. I would spend half an hour on the phone, they would get unstuck, and we would both move on. What I can offer is two decades of experience in inside sales compensation, revenue operations, and go-to-market strategy at places like SAP and LinkedIn, and now nine years running my own firm. A real view into how hiring and comp decisions get made on the other side of the table. And no stake in which way you go, which is usually the piece that people cannot get from anyone already in their life.
