Founder
Project Lytework
June 2023 - January 2024
During the first summer of my MBA I launched Project Lytework, a social venture aimed at helping people struggling with complex PTSD (C-PTSD) in underserved BIPOC communities. I piloted a two-sided healthcare marketplace connecting individuals with alternative medicine providers using lean experimentation methods—such as targeted social media ads, cold call recruiting, and community-based outreach. I tested and refined several business models through stakeholder interviews to evaluate the venture’s long-term sustainability and scalability. My work was supported by a monthly living stipend, funding for experimentation, and intern support, allowing me to build and iterate rapidly. Lytework was inspired by my lived experiences and is part of my broader mission to address trauma, mental health, and systemic inequity through culturally attuned solutions. Through both my own journey and my work with others, I’ve realized how difficult C-PTSD is to manage on your own. The challenge is compounded by the fact that it isn’t formally recognized in the DSM, even though it’s now included as an official diagnosis in the International Classification of Diseases (11th Edition), distinct from PTSD and borderline personality disorder. Progress like this gives me hope for greater recognition and support in the future. You can learn more about C-PTSD here: User Experience Design (UED), Social Entrepreneurship and +2 skills
