Package Description:

The CBS interview is a 30-40 minute conversation with an admissions committee member or alum who will ask you to walk through your background, explain your goals, and demonstrate how you'll contribute to Columbia's collaborative community. While the tone is warm and conversational, don't mistake casual for easy! CBS is evaluating whether you can tell a compelling story that connects your past to your future, articulate why Columbia specifically is the right place for you, and show the kind of presence and clarity that will serve you in their action-oriented program. You need to be concise, strategic, and authentic without sounding rehearsed. You need to know your story well enough to walk through it in 2-3 minutes hitting the right beats. You need behavioral examples polished and ready to deploy using the STAR method. And you need to drive the interview strategically — sharing enough to showcase your strengths while leaving room for the interviewer to ask about what excites you most. My coaching doesn't just help you practice answers — I help you build a narrative framework that allows you to respond naturally while strategically positioning yourself. We focus on clarity, authenticity, and the quiet confidence that makes interviewers want to advocate for you. Many clients walk in anxious about articulating their story under pressure or worried they'll ramble. By the time we're done, they walk into CBS knowing exactly how to present themselves — and why they belong there. If you need interview support for other schools, send me a message! I'm happy to craft a custom package.

What you'll get from this package

Polished 2-3 Minute Profile Story: Your background narrative from undergrad to present, highlighting achievements that connect to your goals — concise, compelling, and interview-ready

Sharp Goal Articulation: 60-90 second answers for "Why MBA, why now" and "short-term/long-term goals" that flow naturally and land with conviction

Columbia-Specific Positioning: Your "Why CBS" answer backed by specific classes, clubs, resources, and professors that prove you've done your homework

Strategic Interview Control: Coaching on how to drive the conversation — what to emphasize, what to keep brief, and how to guide the interviewer toward your strongest material

Mock Interview Experience: Full simulation with real-time feedback on content, pacing, and delivery. We'll catch rambling, vague language, and nervous habits that undermine credibility.

Delivery Confidence: You'll learn to stay conversational and calm while maintaining strategic control — authentic but polished, warm but purposeful

Peace of Mind: Walk in knowing you've practiced with someone who understands what CBS is evaluating and that you're ready to show up as your best self

Interview Day Prep Materials: One-page talking points organized by question type, confidence reminders, and final logistics checklist

I currently teach entrepreneurship at Stanford and founded the Education Entrepreneurship Hub (joint program across all 7 schools). I have firsthand admissions experience with 5 out of 7 Stanford schools (everything except Law and Medicine), giving me unique insight into how different programs evaluate candidates. My focus areas span entrepreneurship (MBA, MS&E, and other entrepreneurial degrees), education, policy, and CS - allowing me to guide clients across diverse graduate programs and career transitions. I love working with: 🚀 The Entrepreneur Who Thinks They're "Just" Running a Small Business You've built something amazing but don't realize how impressive it actually is. I help translate your startup journey into MBA-speak that makes AdComs sit up and take notice. 💼 The Consultant/Finance Person Who Feels Generic Yes, there are lots of you - but there's only one YOU. I specialize in finding what makes your story different from the other 500 consultants applying to Wharton. 🎯 The High-Achiever Who Downplays Their Impact You accomplished incredible things but describe them like anyone could have done it. I help you own your achievements and communicate them with confidence. 🌍 The Career Changer with a Winding Path Multiple industries? Gap years? Drop Out? That "unconventional" background you're worried about? That's often pure gold - we just need to connect the dots strategically. My approach: Think collaborative brainstorming meets strategic positioning. I'm your biggest cheerleader AND your honest feedback partner. We'll dig deep into your experiences, find your authentic voice, and craft applications that feel genuinely like you - just the best, most compelling version. Real Talk: I only work with people who are coachable and willing to put in the work. I'm not going to write your essays for you, but I will help you write essays that feel authentically yours and get results! Recent Wins: MIT Sloan R3 admit (despite test struggles), scholarship funding for a single mom founder, multiple M7 admits for "overrepresented" backgrounds who found their unique angle.
