I've done the 6+ hours of studying per day, shuffled through 4 test prep companies/books, and took the LSAT when I wasn't ready. You're likely in the same or similar boat, and I don't want you to make the same mistakes I made. My approach to the LSAT emphasizes understanding and priotizes quality studying over quantity. I've helped many students reach their target scores using this philosophy, and I want to help you achieve your dream score too.

As someone who studied for the LSAT while working full time, I can guide around the pitfalls that are common to working professionals and accelerate your progress while accommodating to a professional's schedule.

Between the actual exams, tryout exams for jobs, and personal diagnostic exams, I have never scored below 99th-percentile on the LSAT, GMAT, nor GRE. I started in the industry in 2002 with Kaplan, and founded my own company in 2005. I was one of Veritas's (acquired by Varsity Tutors as their elite program) first instructors and a go-to instructor for most of their existence, teaching literally coast-to-coast until moving off of their grid in 2017. Career highlights include successfully writing and then teaching my own LSAT course, teaching over a dozen GMAT classes at Booth School of Business at University of Chicago, and tutoring around Silicon Valley at locations such as the Google campus, Stanford, and the San Francisco Financial District. In short, I've taught and tutored thousands of students within the elite model used by Veritas, Manhattan, and others, in which the highest-scoring instructors teach in small classrooms and focus on higher-end analytic aspects of the exam. I wrote my own LSAT course, and I contributed to the highly-regarded Veritas course and books. My students have gone on to attend the best law and business schools in the world. Over the course of 5 years teaching the LSAT, I have honed my ability to break down seemingly complex LSAT concepts into easily digestible components. As someone who did not score particularly high on my first diagnostic, I know how daunting improvement can seem especially when initial improvement is followed by a scoring plateau. Likewise, I have seen and heard firsthand how certain instructors fail to connect with their students when mastery of the LSAT came so naturally to the instructor. Accordingly, I tailor my approach to each student's individual learning style yet still emphasize the same core concepts––understanding argument structure, causal reasoning, conditional reasoning, and the ability to make inferences––which must be mastered in order to achieve improvement.

I earned a 175 on the LSAT and have been helping people achieve their LSAT goals since my admission to Harvard Law School's Junior Deferral Program. The LSAT rewards methodical practice --- I believe that any student can excel with the right mindset and tools. I view LSAT preparation as a holistic process that goes beyond study hours. I hope to help others find strategies that support both strong scores and a healthy balance with the rest of life.

I scored a 175 on the LSAT, and my intuitive, common-sense approach has been helping students get top scores since 2012. I emphasize comprehension rather than memorization: Instead of just giving you rules and procedures to remember, I help you figure out why they make sense. My LSAT expertise is largely informed by my mathematical background (I have an MSc in math), but I am able to adjust my explanations to any learning style and academic background. Although I tend to focus on logical fundamentals, I can also give you plenty of guidance in more practical test-taking aspects: how to interpret key words in answer choices, how to diagram efficiently, etc. I know my methods work, and I'm sure they can work for you.
