During my high school years, I earned 5s on multiple AP exams including Calculus BC, Statistics, and Economics, and I've since spent 5 years coaching students to similar success. With 35 years of math coaching experience including 31 years as the Founder and CEO of MATH 1-2-3, I specialize in private mathematics coaching and test prep, including AP exams. My extensive teaching background spans various prestigious institutions, such as The Leffell School and Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, where I taught subjects ranging from Algebra to Calculus, including AP and IB programs. My academic journey includes a Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics and Decision-Making from Gabelli School of Business, equipping me with a strong foundation in quantitative finance and statistical analysis. I've been tutoring and teaching Calculus for over 25 years. It is a beautiful subject, but I also understand that it can be intimidating or even overwhelming. I will work with you to identify the specific skills that need improvement, and recommend resources you can use to help you improve. I will also make sure that you are able to come away from our work together with a deep understanding of the material, not just a set of memorized equations. Of course, AP courses do come with a big test at the end, and I am intimately familiar with the format and types of questions found on both AP Calculus exams. We will work together on questions from prior exams, and build on those problems to develop your study plan. By the time test day comes around, you will know what to expect—and how to handle it.
