Following the completion of my Ph.D., I worked at Yale University, Johns Hopkins University, the University College Dublin (UCD), the University of Nottingham, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) and SSPI. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship in psychology at Yale University. I was an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins University. I was an Associate Professor at UCD. I was Full Professor, Chair in Education, at the University of Nottingham. I was Full Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). I was Vice President for Research and Evaluation at SSPI. I was also CEO at IRINSTITUTES.

With a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Washington and extensive experience as a faculty member, academic administrator, writing advisor, and program director at UCLA and the University of Washington, I have a deep understanding of the academic landscape and the skills needed to get offers and succeed in graduate programs. Through my work with AnotherDegree.com, I assist graduate students and grad and professional school applicants to get the personalized mentorship they need to support their academic ambitions.
