I have advised hundreds and hundreds of law school applicants over an almost twenty year period. I am an expert in law school admissions and have also published a book and a nationwide column about it. Many applicants that I have advised have been admitted to their top choice of law schools. Some of my former students have also received up to full scholarships to law school. I am also an expert on the subject of legal careers, as well as alternative legal careers. In addition I have taught several courses for students planning to apply to law school. I am a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.

I'm a Columbia Law 3L who was admitted to law schools across Canada and the U.S., including the University of Ottawa's dual-degree program straight out of high school, the University of Alberta Faculty of Law at age 19 after just two years of undergrad, and multiple T-14 programs with full-tuition scholarships to two of them. I also successfully negotiated my Columbia Law scholarship up. At Columbia, I'm a Davis Polk Leadership Initiative Fellow and Tony Patiño Fellow-Elect. I help applicants craft personal statements, build cohesive application narratives, prepare for interviews, and develop scholarship negotiation strategies. I've spent years coaching people through high-stakes communication as the founder of TalkMaze and as a competitive debate coach, and law school applications are where all of those skills come together. Hey future colleague! I'm a current JD candidate and Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford Law school. I've been through many "rodeos" when it comes to grueling applications. I know what it's like to have a dream, and I'm here to make yours a reality. When applying to law school, I received acceptances to Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, Georgetown, NYU, UMichigan, and UC Berkeley (the last of three were all full-ride offers). Beyond applying for law school, I have ample experience with tough interviews, having interviewed for the Rhodes, Marshall, Soros, Knight-Hennessy, Schwarzman, and Truman scholarships. I love helping others get that precious call or email! I've been fortunate enough to help my own friends prepare for job interviews and land roles at McKinsey, JPM, and more. I want to make it easier and more predictable for others to figure out the strategies needed to get into "elite" institutions like the ones I attended - I had to stumble across these strategies myself, and want to take the guesswork out of the process for others! Most importantly: I'm passionate about helping folks figure out their unique Why - so that they can create a career rocket ship, and craft a compelling narrative for it.

I worked closely with a law school admissions coach during my own application process, which gave me a deep understanding of admissions strategy, timing, and what law schools are truly looking for in successful applicants. I applied to nine law schools and was accepted to all of them. Through that process, I learned how to craft compelling personal statements, build cohesive application narratives, and strategically position experiences and goals to stand out. As a current law student, I enjoy helping applicants clarify their stories, strengthen their materials, and approach the admissions process with confidence and intention.
