As a current JD/MBA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton and Penn Law), I’ve seen firsthand how an authentic and strategic approach can help candidates stand out. Having taken an unconventional path into law school, business school, and finance, I’m passionate about helping other non-traditional candidates do the same.

I love the storytelling of admissions essays. My specialty is working on the law school essays, ranging from short optional essays, to diversity statements, to the personal statement. Having worked as a legal assistant, a resident assistant, and as president of a law school organization, I believe in the value of public service, and in sharing my knowledge with you. Whether you have a full essay draft that needs a final read, or a rough idea for a story and a feeling, I cater my strategy to you. I start with understanding your goals and emotions, to help you tell the story you want to tell about your journey to law school. I have experience in legal advocacy and working with legal clients from a wide range of backgrounds, and am comfortable meeting you where you are. I see myself as helping you to grow your creativity in the essay writing process, trimming areas that may trip you up, and coming out with an incredible bouquet of essays. I can speak to law school admissions, as well as the unique challenges of being a JD-PhD applicant. I've coached dozens of students successfully through law school admissions, and I can coach you too!

I am the Founder and Principal Consultant of CW Admissions, drawing on experience guiding more than 100 applicants through the law school admissions process across national admissions consulting organizations and nonprofit initiatives, as well as experience as an application reader at a top-ten law school. My work focuses on application strategy, narrative development, and overall positioning. I help applicants identify their strongest themes, evaluate whether their materials are working at the admissions level, and understand how their applications function as a whole. Beyond initial submissions, I advise clients on post-submission strategy, including waitlist communications, letters of continued interest, and scholarship negotiation. And as someone who has been on the other side reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates, I also understand what stands out (and what doesn't). GPA and LSAT are king - nothing else matters. This is the traditional "Reddit" wisdom that haunts every budding law school applicant. But that doesn't have to be true. You don't have to be a Rhodes or Truman Scholar, D1 athlete, or PhD. You can write your way in. I sure did. And a year later, my writing skills earned me a spot on the North Carolina Law Review, the flagship academic legal journal of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. I beat the odds time and time again. Ever since, I've been able to help other law school applicants with borderline stats (within reason) gain acceptance into their dream law schools. Some of my clients have been admitted to schools like Columbia, UVA, Harvard (including off the waitlist), NYU, Michigan, Georgetown, Duke, and UNC-Chapel Hill. I am no stranger to admissions advising. I have been a college admissions consultant for over eight years and I have been a Senior Admissions Consultant for U.S. News CollegeAdvisor since 2021. In that world, I have also helped borderline students secure admission to Ivy League schools, T-20 schools, and Public Ivies. I have seamlessly translated what I know about undergraduate admissions to the law school admissions. You don't always have to give up on your dream law school.
