The transition is hard. I won’t sugarcoat it. You can look at my resume, but there’s nothing on it that will help you understand how tough this really is. What will help is learning from my own missteps, using them as a way to examine yourself deeply and find meaning in a life that’s very different from the one we came from.

I served eight years as a U.S. Army MEDEVAC Blackhawk pilot, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan. When it came time to transition, I had no roadmap. As a first-generation college student with no family or network in the business world, I had to figure out everything from scratch: what an MBA even was, how to apply, how to talk about my military experience in a way that resonated with admissions committees and recruiters. I ended up getting accepted to MIT Sloan, Kellogg, Haas, Fuqua, Darden, and Tuck, and today I work as a Product Manager at Microsoft. I coach military members and veterans through the full arc of transition, whether that means exploring MBA programs, pivoting into tech, or simply figuring out what comes next. I know how isolating it can feel when the civilian world speaks a completely different language, and I'm here to help you translate your experience into a compelling story.

When I was transitioning out of the military, all I got was my DD214, a handshake, and a pat on the back. It can be rough leaving a structured environment and being in command of troops, managing millions of dollars in equipment, and being trusted to be succeed in whatever mission you're tasked with - to being completely on your own - but not anymore. With a rich background that spans from serving in senior roles in the United States Army, to strategic roles at top firms like Boston Consulting Group and Goldman Sachs, I bring a unique perspective to transitioning from the military to civilian careers. Having coached over 100 individuals, I specialize in helping veterans leverage their military experience to excel (pun intended) in corporate environments. I have an MBA and a Master of Engineering Management, which allow me to work at the intersection of strategy, operations, finance, and technical delivery. I also hold technical certifications aligned with execution and governance (PMP, CSM, ITIL v4, COP, CPCM, CFCM). Hard technical skills include SysML and MBSE (ystem modeling and requirements traceability) Python and R (data analysis and modeling), and quantitative methods for cost, risk, and performance assessment.
