After banking, I moved to Bain Capital where I worked in tech private equity & growth investing and then Squarepoint Capital, a large hedge fund where I managed a book of software stocks and oversaw our private growth investing efforts. I have since decided to work on my own endeavor, having raised capital and launched a private investment firm focused on down-market acquisitions of B2B businesses. Hi! Hope you're doing well. My name is Kyle, and I'm currently an associate at a megafund in private equity, having worked as a full-time analyst on the technology investment banking team at Morgan Stanley for two years, and having graduated from Stanford with a degree in Economics and Computer Science. I love serving as a finance coach because of the chance for me to pay it forward, given the mentorship I received from others during my recruiting journey despite being low-income, and helping my students successfully land their dream jobs at top firms. I specialize across investment banking, private equity, and asset management, with services ranging from interview case prep to financial modeling and analysis and much more. I faced a lot of challenges during my recruiting journey, and failed during interviews at 20+ firms, which fortunately has equipped me with a wealth of recruiting insights and experience. What differentiates me as a coach is my understanding of the sector landscape (ie. MM vs. UMM vs. MF funds in PE or boutique firms in IB), knowing what the interviewers will ask and what they want to hear, as well as the wealth of practice resources and materials I have for students.

I have worked at Goldman Sachs (TMT IB), Stifel (TMT IB), and J.P. Morgan (Corporate Banking). I can help you prepare for summer analyst recruiting, full-time recruiting (which is super unstructured), or lateral recruiting -- I've done all 3. I have also helped 75 individuals prepare for technical, behavioral, networking meetings, resume prep, and everything in between.

After I graduated from Berkeley Haas, I spent two years as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley before becoming a Private Equity Associate at The Carlyle Group. In my free time, I am a mentor for Women In Network, a non-profit organization founded to promote and encourage females in the professional world by fostering mentorships, expanding networks, and building communities. I have helped high school and college students with thinking through their future career by helping them with interview prep, talking through their interests / what they're looking for in a job, understanding the technical portions of a model / questions that would come up in an interview, and providing step-by-step guides to recruiting. I also taught 2 Berkeley Haas classes when I was a senior in college. I prepared materials for my classes, which were "Introduction to Investment Banking" and "Introduction to Buyside Financial Modelling".

I spent three years in investment banking at Moelis, and have gone through both the 2-year Analyst program and stayed on as an Associate afterwards. I worked across both the LA and New York offices and was top-ranked in all three years. During my time at the firm, I was also heavily involved in analyst and intern recruiting, so I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to break into a top bank and how to stand out once you’re there. Over the years, I’ve helped a number of candidates navigate the recruiting process, from building a compelling story to preparing for technicals, refining resumes, and developing networking strategies that actually work. Mentorship has always been important to me. I have supported candidates recruiting for different geographies and industry groups. At USC, I served as Director of Mentorship for the Trojan Investing Society (the school’s largest finance org), where I guided a cohort of 30+ students through recruiting landing roles at firms such as GS, Evercore, JP Morgan, etc. across NY, Boston, SF and LA. I also worked as a Peer Career Advisor at USC's Career Center, helping students successfully land offers in investing banking and private equity. Since graduating, I’ve continued to mentor through programs like SEO, Women in Network, and Synergist Network. I have interviewed with and secured investment banking offers from six different banks, including both bulge bracket and prominent boutique firms, before starting my role as an analyst at Deutsche Bank. Following a year at Deutsche Bank, I transitioned to J.P. Morgan, where I dedicated four years to the M&A team, where I assessed numerous internship and full-time analyst and associate applications. Welcome to my profile! I began my career in Morgan Stanley’s Consumer & Retail Group in 2018, and then joined TPG in 2021, where I worked across growth and middle market private equity investments. I also worked with TPG’s C-suite to launch TPG NEXT, a GP-stakes fund where I evaluated hundreds of opportunities across asset classes, and was involved in supporting experienced investors in launching and building their own firms. I left in 2025 to pursue my own entrepreneurial journey. During my time at Morgan Stanley I was involved with recruiting, candidate evaluation, group placement, and training of interns and analysts.
