As a former Private Equity Associate at Ara Partners, I worked on five portfolio companies and closed two platform investments in the energy / decarbonization sector, providing me with firsthand insights into the intricacies of the industry. My journey also includes roles at EIG (an infrastructure PE fund) and J.P. Morgan, where I honed my skills in energy infrastructure and investment banking. I am well-equipped to guide you through the nuances of private equity applications and interviews, especially if you have an engineering background. I am also a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA) and Princeton University, and closely worked with the admissions team on crafting an overall admissions strategy. I broke into investment banking the hard way — from a non-traditional background (clinical medicine) — so I know exactly what it takes to get in from the outside, and how to teach it. But I didn't just break in: I started as an M&A banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, then moved to Goldman Sachs and earned the promotion to Vice President in its Healthcare Investment Banking group. That path matters for you in two ways: I can coach you not only on how to land your first offer, but also on how to position yourself for the top of the Street and how to actually excel once you're inside the walls of an elite bank, which is what earns the promotions. I've also sat on the other side of the table: I served on recruiting teams at both Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs, so I've personally screened, interviewed, and selected candidates; I know precisely what gets someone pulled from the pile and what gets them cut. My background also includes an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where I supported the admissions committee, further honing my ability to evaluate and guide applicants. Most coaches in this space will tell you how to get into banking. I’ll tell you what nobody talks about - what comes after, and how to navigate it without losing your identity or your leverage. I spent 10 years in JPMorgan’s Equity Capital Markets division. I was promoted early and ranked in the top tier right from my analyst to VP days across EMEA Investment Banking. NOT because I worked the hardest, but because I learned quickly what actually moves the needle in this industry versus what’s just noise. Then I made the move myself. In 2025, I transitioned into a Strategic Finance & Capital Markets lead role at one of Europe’s fastest-growing energy unicorns — running fundraising, managing debt facilities, building the company valuation model and leading dialogue with banks and rating agencies. Same intellectual rigour. Materially better life. That transition is exactly what most of my clients want, and I’ve done it at a level most coaching profiles haven’t. I don’t coach from a textbook.
