Dr. Khan supported me throughout the process of my application for medical school. After we had a few valuable and thorough discussions, she enabled me to identify and highlight my passion for medicine and the experiences that expressed that passion. She played a major role in planning out a personal statement that best described my specific, personal passions and additionally coached me through answering other application questions, crafting a clear and effective resume, and preparing for each step of the interview process. I will always appreciate her advice, availability to assist with my responses to difficulties, and guidance as I pursued medical school.

I worked with Dr. Khan for over a year throughout my application process. She helped me find new activities to join the semester prior to applying to medical school to help build my story. She was particularly good at helping me figure out how to articulate my story into my personal statement, and she continued to push me to improve it until we both agreed it was as good as possible. Dr. Khan’s insider knowledge of and experience with medical school admissions proved to be invaluable throughout my application process. In particular, her insight nudged me in directions that allowed me to flesh out avenues of writing and application-building which I might have never previously considered. Furthermore, I found her help through mock interviews especially beneficial in building my confidence and pinpointing the parts of myself which were most important to express.

I worked with Dr. Khan during my application process for medical school for the 2023-2024 cycle, and I am very grateful to have had her as my mentor. Dr. Khan helped me get into multiple medical schools, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her support! I’d say one of the best aspects of her guidance was that she always provided feedback on my writing materials which encouraged me to be more genuine and creative, which made me stand out as a very unique applicant. Everybody can write generically about their experiences, but “why are you different” and “how can you make this essay more creative and unique” are the questions that she pushed me every day to answer. There were many times when I was close to submitting my essays, and I was encouraged to rewrite the whole thing as it was too “normal” – although this was not what I wanted to hear at the moment, I do believe this is one of the main reasons my application stood out as different. She is very active in communicating, and is always willing to speak with you on the phone (which I appreciated as I am less active on text) to provide support and advice – whether that was to better explain information or feedback, to support me emotionally throughout the process, and ultimately to help go through and help me make a choice. She is really truly here for you from the beginning to the end and also beyond this process. If you want somebody who will push you to stand out as a unique applicant, give their honest feedback and opinions, and be there for you throughout the whole process and beyond, then I recommend you consider choosing Dr. Khan!
