Everyone who’s ever met Jonathan would agree that he is the nicest person in finance. If you don’t believe me, have a conversation with him yourself. But he is so much more than that. Jonathan has been a friend, mentor, and coach of mine for 5+ years throughout different stages of my career. When I was a sophomore, his guidance and feedback helped me secure internship offers from Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division. He helped tailor my resume so that every square inch of real estate was value-added to my application, and gave candid feedback on how I should best spend my time preparing for recruiting. Jonathan is patient and kind and his non-judgmental approach meant that I could be fully transparent about my weaknesses and short-comings. This is important when finding the right coach because it allows you to identify and highlight your true strengths in any interview scenario, so you do not come across as disingenuous. Jonathan’s approach combines micro and macro. He is encouraging but realistic, and he is highly strategic in his coaching because recruiting isn’t random / all luck. You can always play a better hand. 5 years after working with Jonathan to land myself a dream investment banking position, I found myself recruiting once again this time for a role on the buyside. Jonathan’s consistent help on interview prep (technical, case studies, business fundamentals) combined with his understanding of the industry (fund strategy, sector dynamics, firm reputation, group culture, etc.) meant that I could allocate time in the most efficient manner. The latter piece is highly underrated when it comes to preparation because private equity firms evaluate based on a candidate’s intended understanding of the role of the group just as much as they scrutinize over their technical skills (which often come from a few months on the desk). This isn’t information you can just get from WSO or a PE recruiting guide, and often requires highly bespoke recommendations from a seasoned veteran. Jonathan’s industry expertise and mentorship were instrumental in helping me land jobs with TA Associates and Blackstone, my top two choices given my interest in Technology. To anyone looking for a coach, mentor and trusted advisor (and friend), I recommend Jonathan in the highest.

Kenyatta was such an amazing resource during my business school application process! I connected with her regularly and she was able to share great insight on Wharton and the MBA process in overall from academics, career, extracurriculars and everything in between. She was also able to refer me to other students and alumni that might be helpful in the process. Kate was really helpful in my case interview prep! From the very start, I felt very supported by her. I knew nothing about case interviews and she helped me prep from 0 to 1. She gave very clear and concise explanations about the overall structure, which made it very digestible. She went above and beyond by preparing a comprehensive Google Doc with resources and sample cases, which made self-study much more effective. Imani Parker-Fong has been an excellent coach and support system when it comes to career and life guidance! She clarifies much of the hidden curriculum that underlies career and college success, such as how to talk about or present your experiences effectively, how to use LinkedIn to your advantage, or how to best structure a resume. In every conversation with her, I felt like my background, experiences, and viewpoints were taken into consideration when determining next steps. Imani is incredibly encouraging, especially when it comes to thinking outside of the box or thinking open-mindedly. If you have hesitations about a next step, she listens actively and works to understand the source of the hesitation before providing support – whether that’s in a structured outline of proposed plan or a detailed explanation. The skills I’ve learned from Imani over the years, from when I was first applying to college to when I graduated from Harvard University and entered the workforce, and even now as I apply to medical school, are skills that I use and think about every day. Overall, she has encouraged me to not underestimate the impact I can have, the changes I can make, or the goals I can achieve.

Erika’s coaching helped get me into Wharton’s Executive MBA program! She helped me refine my writing into a cohesive story that painted a clear picture of myself, my goals, and the value I could bring to the program. By the end of her process, I felt like I had told an authentic story that spoke to my strengths.

Erika is an incredibly supportive and dedicated individual who truly goes above and beyond for others.
