The other aspect we'll work on, and that almost no one addresses, is the psychological side: managing pressure, picking yourself up after a mistake, building confidence in yourself, learning to communicate that confidence and knowing your own worth. Prior to starting at Kellogg, I was selected as a McKinsey Emerging Scholar and pursued management consulting post-MBA. I received 3/3 internship offers from McKinsey, BCG, & Bain. With a robust background in management consulting, I bring over six years of experience at McKinsey & Company, where I rose to Associate Partner in <4 years after joining post-MBA as an Associate. My focus was on manufacturing and supply chain within the Operations practice, but I was involved in recruiting efforts across all practices, both generalist consultants and technical/specialist roles. I have given 100+ interviews and was extremely involved in recruiting, acting as recruiting lead for Chicago in some capacity from 2021-2025. As a Senior Manager at Bain, I have personally interviewed dozens of high-caliber individuals who got an interview slot. I've coached over a hundred people on how to navigate the management consulting interview process throughout my 6+ year-long career at Bain, whether that be resume editing, interview prep, or career advice. I have a deep understanding of the consulting industry and the skills needed to succeed. I also hold an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Brigham Young University. I had no experience with consulting or case prep and applied to Bain because a friend said I should. My first practice case was with a Bain employee one week before my actual interview. Needless to say, it was a disaster. I called on all the resources I could to prep enough to make it in, and it worked! I want to give back to honor those who helped me through this process. I spent 7 years at Bain & Company in London, leaving as an Associate Partner. During my time there I conducted 100+ live and virtual case and fit interviews — giving me a first-hand view of exactly what separates a borderline candidate from an offer. I also served as On-Campus Lead for Bain's MBA recruiting team, conducting individual coffee chats and case prep for hundreds of students, as well as running large format group case interview prep sessions. I also know this process from the other side of the table: I switched into consulting myself during my MBA (LBS, Class of 2019), and used a coach during that transition myself, which is a big part of why I'm now eager to help others do the same.
