My approach draws on a combination of international academic training, professional experience in global policy and development, and a track record of advising high-potential individuals navigating competitive and ambiguous career and educational pathways. I am a graduate of the Schwarzman Scholars program at Tsinghua University, where I focused on global affairs and leadership in a cross-cultural context. Professionally, I have worked at the intersection of policy, research, and international development, including roles with multiple agencies of the United Nations, where I have engaged directly with complex global challenges and multi-stakeholder environments. In parallel, I have built a successful coaching practice supporting candidates for highly competitive global fellowships and graduate programs. Through this work, I have developed a structured, personalized approach to helping individuals clarify their goals, articulate their unique value, and position themselves effectively in high-stakes professional contexts.

I am a public policy professional and have lived, worked, and studied in Panama, the United States, and China. Extensive background in international relations and strategy for over 15+ years in 10+ countries across nearly all continents, I bring a wealth of experience from my roles at Dalberg, the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and The Economist Group. My work has spanned government advisory, private sector development, and socio-economic analysis, particularly in emerging markets. As a co-founder of AAW Global, I have provided strategic support to major international NGOs and non-profits, focusing on global strategy, partnerships, and capacity building. Currently I am supporting international development and AI safety organizations to navigate future scenarios. I have coached numerous individuals, helping them navigate complex international landscapes and achieve their career goals. I spent 23 years as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, serving in five overseas assignments across Latin America and Central Asia and in senior roles in Washington, DC. My career gave me firsthand experience in diplomacy, foreign policy, international affairs, cross-cultural communication, crisis response, and working across governments and organizations. My roles ranged from Consular Chief and Deputy Principal Officer overseas to Chief of Staff for the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs and Deputy Director of the Office of Mexican Affairs in Washington. I also served as a Foreign Service Assessor, evaluating candidates seeking to join the U.S. Foreign Service and assessing the competencies required to succeed in diplomacy and international affairs.
