I have interviewed, hired, and trained three classes of summer and full-time investment banking analysts and executed over $10.0Bn in deals across 90+ transactions. At UC Berkeley, I taught finance to over 300 undergraduates and have mentored and placed undergraduate and MBA students at the most prestigious Wall Street Banks, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Centerview, Evercore, and Lazard. With direct investment banking and investing experience across multiple sectors, I bring a well-rounded perspective to help you target and excel in specialized groups. At Lazard, I worked directly on Media & Telecommunications mandates, gaining firsthand exposure to the strategic and financial nuances of the industry. After completing a summer internship and one year as an investment banking analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at J.P. Morgan in New York City, I spent a summer working as a teaching assistant with Training The Street, where I helped hundreds of summer analysts and full-time analysts prepare for their roles. I can help with interview prep (both technical and behavioral) as well as with networking and application strategy for those interested in summer and full-time analyst positions at bulge bracket banks, especially applicants from non-target and underrepresented backgrounds.

I worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, within the healthcare group for 2 years. I come from a non-traditional background, not having majored in finance during undergrad, and I also did not intern investment banking. So, I can offer unique coaching advice for those of you interested in breaking into investment banking without traditional backgrounds. I have mentors many college students interested in breaking into finance, either internships or full-time, and can assist in general career thought work, resume work, and interview preparation.

I have navigated the investment banking recruitment process successfully from multiple vantage points — as a candidate, an insider, and a coach. I previously worked as an Associate at Morgan Stanley and was the first-ever Graduate Analyst in Asia Pacific selected for the firm’s prestigious three-year rotational program, which had an offer rate of less than 0.1%. During this time, I gained hands-on experience across Investment Banking Advisory, Equities Sales & Trading, Global Financial Crimes Prevention, Operational Risk, and Compliance, giving me a holistic understanding of how top banks evaluate talent. In parallel, I was admitted to multiple M7 and T15 MBA programs — including Stanford GSB, Chicago Booth, Columbia Business School, and Cornell Johnson — with over USD 200K in merit-based scholarships, and was selected as a Schwarzman Scholar from a global applicant pool of 5,000+ (~3% acceptance rate). This allows me to advise candidates who are pursuing both direct analyst/associate recruiting and MBA-to-banking pathways.
