I bring a combination of consulting, medical, recruiting, and life sciences experience. As a medical doctor and BCG alum with more than three years at the firm, I understand both the demands of MBB consulting and the strengths that advanced degree candidates can bring. I have been involved in recruiting throughout my time at BCG and have supported multiple medical and PhD candidates who went on to secure MBB offers. I understand that candidates from medicine and research may have excellent experiences but need help translating them into concise, commercially relevant stories. I can therefore support you not only with case mechanics, but also with the broader application journey: choosing a strategy, positioning your background, communicating your motivation, and presenting your experience with confidence. My current work in a life sciences startup also gives me a practical perspective on healthcare and biotech environments beyond consulting. I'm a former Senior Partner and Head of Recruiting at Bain & Company. I was a second round interviewer across all core schools for years. And I was the Partner who led decision debriefs - selecting the interview roster and overseeing the offer deliberations. I've interviewed and made offer decisions for over one thousand MBAs and undergrads for full time and summer positions and industry hires. I also taught an "Introduction to Management Consulting" class at UC Irvine, a "non-core" school before that class, and a "core" school afterwards for the Los Angeles office. The class was basically my custom-made new consultant training - a hand-on, practical introduction to the job, structured to provide as close to a real "first case on the job" applied experience. I led students step-by-step through the process of conducting a strategic full potential diagnostic first-hand, researching companies of their choice and building out a future vision, recommended strategy, set of priority initiatives, change management roadmap. They created Board-ready presentations and delivered them in class, again receiving coaching for consultant-level communication effectiveness. In addition to teaching and immersing them in the new consultant tool-kit, I introduced them to the recruiting process and coached them on proactive, creative ways to get into the interviewing cycle. We practiced mock cases and many students successfully landed jobs at Bain and other top consultancies and strategy depts. Depending on where you are in your pursuit, I'm happy to provide support. Following my BCG internship, I was the president of the management consulting club at Brigham Young University. I spent hundreds of hours coaching and casing, and I helped many students change their entire resume and qualify for interviews and offers at top consulting firms.
