I'm a Marine Corps officer veteran, with experience in the aviation and ground specialties. I'm the creator of the far-reaching online community Officer Candidates School.com. I was Chief Revenue Officer of Sandboxx, the military tech startup supporting servicemembers headed to and in basic training. At Ernst and Young, I founded a nationwide veteran transition mentorship program. Having been vetted by top leadership over all US Special Operations, I had the privilege to become a mentor to SOF Operators preparing to transition to post-military careers. These Operators are the top 1% or less of the US military and are entrusted with our nation's highest priorities. Having served their country, they are introduced to coaches who can help them be as successful in their next phase of life as they were in their military careers. But finding a new place in the world can be challenging. Many veterans face the challenge of finding all-new careers and determining their course -- whether it be grad school, gov't contracting, or corporate careers. Veterans also face preconceptions and ignorance of what they do. They must learn how to translate their military experience into "civilian speak", convey their transferrable skills, and position themselves against candidates who have equal years of experience but in the corporate sector. My MBA degree from Cornell University provides a strong foundation in business principles and strategic thinking. My extensive experience in the tech industry, including roles at NVIDIA, Google, Microsoft, Intel, and HPE, has equipped me with insights into the latest trends and opportunities in technology. My six years of service in the United States Air Force, where I held leadership roles such as Lead Satellite Control Network Systems Engineer and Deputy Branch Chief, has given me a deep understanding of the challenges veterans face during their transition.
