Despite my youth, I've amassed nearly 5 years of professional MCAT Instruction and Coaching. As the former Director of MCAT Instruction at Jack Westin, and a current medical student at the University of Toronto, I've supported hundreds of pre-med students with their MCAT preparation. I place a large emphasis on test taking strategy and individualized study plans so that each student can see the most progress in the shortest amount of time. I've helped multiple students achieve 20+ point increases, which ultimately puts the student in a stronger position when it comes to applying to medical school.

Over the last five years, I've developed a toolkit to fundamentally change the way many students approach the MCAT. A reasoning test first and foremost, I've built on my foundational teaching skills to help students not only meet their goals, but often exceed them. Going through the premed process can be arduous and anxiety-provoking, and preparing for a high-stakes examination like the MCAT is no exception. I've honed in on skills fostered through years of working as a mentor and teacher with the CURB Peer Mentorship Program, teaching in local K-12 high schools in Ithaca through 21st Century & REACH and conducting in-person and online MCAT tutoring with both Yale and Cornell undergrads. Now, having adapted a course full of materials, strategies, and resources to guide my students, I'm excited to use Leland's platform to share my insights and strategies to the next generation of future physicians. I scored in the 99th percentile in the MCAT, but what sets me apart is my motivation to adapt and invest in the needs of every one of my students. From personalized Anki decks for each AAMC content outline, to unique, integrative protocols to optimize students’ approaches to each MCAT section, I strive to go above and beyond as a resource for my students. I scored a 521 on the 2026 MCAT (98th percentile), including a perfect 132 in Chem/Phys and 131s in both Bio/Biochem and Psych/Soc. Having improved my own MCAT score from a 505 to a 521, I understand firsthand how to identify weaknesses, refine study strategies, and make significant score improvements. Beyond my own MCAT experience, I have over six years of one-on-one tutoring experience with students ranging from elementary school through college. I graduated from Biola University with a 3.997 GPA in Biological Sciences and served as a General Chemistry I and Organic Chemistry I teaching assistant. These experiences have taught me how to break down difficult concepts and adapt my teaching to each student's learning style. My approach to MCAT coaching combines targeted content review with passage-based practice, test-taking strategy, and careful review of missed questions. I scored a 525 on the MCAT and went on to receive 10 medical school acceptances and six full-ride scholarships.
