At Leland, I built an AI-powered email pipeline that fully manages inbound messages. The system classifies emails, drafts replies, and routes them to the right teammates through Slack. I’ve also helped design automated sales workflows that support lead qualification and customer communication for our bootcamp business. I help people and teams build with AI — from first prototype to production. I've spent a decade building AI at companies like Amazon, Uber, and a Y Combinator startup I co-founded as CTO. My edge: I don't just use AI tools, I train the models underneath them — LLMs, text-to-video, voice — so I can teach you how these systems actually work, not just which buttons to press. I've spent the last several years working hands-on with AI at AWS and Poolside, where I helped enterprises take foundation models from experimentation into production. At Poolside, I identified the opportunity for sovereign AI in early 2025, built the first on-prem prototype myself, and went on to lead the resulting product line across product strategy, engineering, deployment, and customer delivery. We grew it to ~$3M ARR and 40+ deployments, including highly secure government environments. I also build with AI extensively outside of work. I built Pinpoint Alpha, an AI-powered market analytics SaaS with 12 production Python pipelines, and Keel, an open-source agent harness focused on secure and governed agent execution. I've been building with AI since my Master's in Data Science, back when that meant training natural language models in TensorFlow. After that I worked at Bain and then Protocol Labs. I got back into building with AI during my MBA at Harvard, where I tried every tool I could get my hands on and started running AI trainings for classmates and professors. I spent 5 years at OpenAI (2016-2021) during the foundation of modern AI, followed by 3 years as Head of AI - Product Experience at Spotify, where I led teams building AI systems that served 500M+ users. So I applied the same systems thinking I used building products at OpenAI and Spotify to my own productivity stack. The result was the MAO Framework. A methodology that helped me consolidate to 6 core tools while tripling output.
