I obtained my CPA license in 2016 (license #129868) and have worked in the accounting industry in the Bay Area for 10+ years. I spent four years in public accounting at PwC, and have worked in a variety of corporate accounting roles since. Some highlights have included working with clients in the wine industry and professional sports industry, as well as working for two public companies and a venture-backed startup. I got my CPA license after studying for 18 months. I got my CPA because I was stubborn and that's what I was told accounting majors did. After grit and bearing through 18 months of depression and isolationism, I successfully got my license, only to realize I never wanted a career where I would utilize it anyway.
