Having gone through the medical school admissions cycle fairly recently, I remembered how confusing, difficult, and sometimes frustrating it can all be. My goal is to help simplify the application process for my mentees and to help them be the best applicants possible. I take a very customize approach when it comes to coaching each individual students and meet them where they are at. I tailor my support and advice to whatever my student's goals and needs are. This can be helping to identify gaps in their application material, brainstorming/workshopping personal statement ideas, revising/editing application essays, developing an MCAT study plan, crafting a school list, conducting practice interviews, etc. I've been advisor to pre-med applicants for years and it's a role I've always enjoyed.
