After almost 2 years on Leland and dozens of happy, successfully admitted clients, I can confirm that we don't need to spend dozens of hours together (and you don't need to spend thousands of dollars!) to get ALL of your applications done for your top 3-5 schools. How many we finalize will really depend on your working style and pace of progress between sessions, but the plan is relatively straightforward: Session 1: Brainstorm your story / hone in on your career goals / finalize list of schools / agree recommender strategy [Async 30min to review your resume] Session 2: Review first drafts for school #1's longer essays, + resume Sessions ~3-5: Iteratively refine + finalize full application draft (including notes to recommenders, to be sent out as soon as we have your story ~70% nailed) Sessions 5-X: Get through 2-4 more applications! Each additional school will require less + less of my time, since you'll be building up a bank of well-articulated answers, stories, ideas, and approaches.
