About Trishna
I’m leading the Asia Pacific expansion of a climate tech unicorn, Climeworks. Overall, I come with 7 years of experience across investment banking (Lazard), development finance/private equity (IFC, World Bank Group) and growth/operations in a high-growth startup (Climeworks). I am also a Yale Emerging Climate Leader Fellow, was a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University, and read Economics at the University of Warwick in the UK with a scholarship. Received and deferred a Master's offer at Stanford University. I'm a global citizen who has studied, worked and lived across the US, UK and China, and covered multiple regions, from Latin America to Asia Pacific. I have pivoted my career 3 times. Over these years, I have helped over 50 friends get into their dream school, job or role. Today, I formally translate my leadership and global experiences to support you in your journey. My promise to you is the following: (1) I always guide to the best of my capability. I will be honest where I can fully support and if I have any gap and introduce you to the right coach. (2) I keep my schedule flexible so that if you need urgent help I can make myself available at short notice and make sure I am there to help you with anything you need. (3) I invest a lot more time preparing for sessions to tailor it to you and give you addressable points, such as taking detailed notes and creating session plans. INVESTMENT BANKING I spent 2 years at a top investment bank (Lazard) and received an Associate offer and move to a bigger office. Therefore, I understand the process to enter early-career into IB, how to excel at work and negotiate for fast track promotions, whether it is the next role or a new location/team of your preference. I can help you with the recruitment process, how to position yourself for success within the firm and if you want to exit, how to approach the pivot. DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION/PRIVATE EQUITY I spent 2 years at a leading development finance organization (International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group) in the HQ at Washington D.C., and had an offer to extend my role within the organization, but I decided I wanted to pursue the Schwarzman Scholarship in China. I can work with you on how to approach recruitment within a development organization (e.g., UN, WB, IMF), navigating the bureaucracy and negotiate for high impact work & promotions, and how to time and position your exit. SCHWARZMAN SCHOLARSHIP I have been guiding prospective applicants for the program for the last 3 years, focused on acing their narrative and application package. I have also been guiding scholars during the program on how to network for new roles within China and outside China. I also guide alumni friends on how to leverage the Schwarzman pedigree and network post program. I can work with you to refine your story, craft your essays, strategize recommendation letters and create a personalized timeline to create a strong application whilst managing day to day priorities. CLIMATE AND ENERGY ROLES I have received offers from top climate VCs and startups globally, as well as a Masters in climate policy program at Stanford and recently awarded the Yale Emerging Climate Leader fellowship. I can guide you on the climate and energy ecosystem, how to enter the industry, position yourself within a firm and across the climate ecosystem, and exit to your next role.
Why do I coach?
My grandfather was a professor and my mother is a math teacher for over 20 years. I come from a family that values education and growth. I have and am achieving dreams that once upon a time felt far fetched. I owe my career to amazing mentors, bosses and friends (along with my grandfather and mother) who have guided me in every step as I navigated every career pivot, transcontinental move and tricky situation. My aim is to be that guide that can support you in achieving your big dreams. One step closer at a time!
